Have to portray Trump as at the height of his popularity so that they can portray their favorite democrat presidential candidate as "triumphing over incredible odds" and "overcoming a tremendous disadvantage", and "speaking truth to power", and " boldly taking on the powers that be", while quoting false survey results and phony poll numbers.

From reading the rest of the story it sounds to me like it's really nothing more than an obvious attempt at a hit piece on Trump and Republicans.

They have an agenda.
