This poll is about income.
Wonder if they'll follow up with some shocking headline: "Poll Finds Majority of Americans are Poor!"
This poll is about income.
Duh. What else would “ rich” refer to ?
Pretty obvious that poll is gonna be rigged

+1. That's why I've never understood the whole focus on FICO score. You could be living paycheck to paycheck with no savings but as long as you pay your bills every month, you can have a higher score than someone with assets of $2 million who pays cash and doesn't finance.
The way that poll is set up is a lot of the problem in peoples finances. We've probably all known the guy that makes 200 grand a year and spends 250. When in reality the guy that makes 50 and only spends 30 is a whole lot better off.

That’s the truth, the poll is just about income and has nothing to due with wealth.
Net worth/assets are a much better gauge than income.

The poll didn't mention "wealth" it mentioned "rich." That's why it is a dumb poll.
I'm in the 55th percentile.
But, I live 100 miles from the nearest city.
My expenses are lower.
And, that's income, not wealth.
Our home is paid for, our cars are paid for, we haven't borrowed in 15 years.
401's for both of us that are considered well funded (I'm not as confident, just boosted 4%)
an IRA, Enough cash immediately available to live at least 6 months easy.
Rich? No.
Comfortably well off? Yep!
A kid hopefully headed to college in two years, another 4 years behind,
we will be able to help some, but not come close to covering it.
If we could, then I would feel rich!
says i gotta live in fayetteville nc to be considered rich. fugg, now i gotta move.

Not living in Fayetteville is wealth in and of itself!
Rich is not about income. Assets, neither. Rich is simply being happy as a clam with what you have......
Yup, family, friends, most of all faith.
You can bet if the Dems ever hold both Houses and the White House again, we'll all be rich, and need some serious taxin' to remedy that.

The rich have a high income
The Wealthy have a lot of assets.
I’m always interested to hear how people define “rich” or “wealthy”. I had a friend tell me one time that if he had $x in the bank he’d be retired. $x seemed like a pretty small number to me.
Top 5% household, top 1% individual in my area. Don’t consider myself rich in the financial sense at all. Worked two jobs, and went to school full time for 8 years to get where I am. Didn’t come free or easy. That doesn’t even count the hours spent doing clinical training for 2 years.
I feel very blessed to be where I am, but not financially rich. Maybe because we invest in our future, and our kids future heavily, and I still have student loans. Don’t get to spend a bunch of money just to spend it or have lavish things. Still young at 33, maybe when I get student loans, kids through school/on there own, and house paid for I would feel maybe close to “rich”, but I highly doubt it
My wife and I have three amazing children, and my wife is something special and amazing also. I couldn’t feel more blessed and rich than I do with my family
Rich is upper level income, and financially sound. Wealthy is money, assets, and the whole don’t have to work in my opinion. Assets generate wealth more than income I believe.
. . . Rich is simply being happy as a clam with what you have......
Actually the apostle Paul called that "contentment." Be content with what you have. Phil 4:11 . . . 1 Tim 6:8 . . . Heb 13:5 . . .
