Ha. All right. Thanks, Pal.

Was Norton Buffalo considered country? For me he was. Saw him many times and he was a fabulous musician.

Some great taste in music on this thread. Nice work fellas. Don Williams was one of my faves, and this not so well known song of his is a real winner.

You guys still aint understood...

A lot of great country singers. I liked Merle. Everyone has their favorites. Enjoy what they left us. Vern Gosdin was another damn good one.

Wait........what????

That sounded dirty.
If you do the iTunes music thing. Waylon’s box set (90 songs?) is worth the money. Covers it all.

You beat me to it.
As a former bareback rider, let me say I love your taste in music!!!

Probably already mentioned, but I would nominate Johnny Cash and Hank Williams Sr.

Gawddang!

CHLinstructor is in the lead by a good ways.
In good country music fashion,
Thinking of Keith, Chris, and Dayrl Singletary, dead before their time,
has me depressed.

So, (not in country music fashion, I'm sober) I'm going to sleep.

At one time, the Queen of Country Music. 21 number one hits.

U

I wonder if Tom T knows he is dead?
I didn't spend a half hour waiting for all the Youtube videos to load but for me it's.....

1) Waylon

2) Merl Hagard

3) Roy Orbison

Unreal projection here,

Darryl Singletary

As was said, more good one dead, than alive. Archie Campbell sang Scarlet Ribbons on HeeHaw and brought tears to my eyes.
What is “Everyone but Willie” for $400 please Alex?

Willie is the Keith Richards of Country Music 😬
A young Wayon.[Linked Image]
Years ago I was talking with my wife’s oldest aunt. Everybody called her “Sister”. We had some music on, and Roy Orbison came on. I mentioned that he was, to me, one of the great voices of all time. She then said “he sure was an ugly young man”. I guess I looked shocked, so she said that she used to live in Wink, Texas, and Orbison would often come sit on her porch and sing and play the guitar. It was long before he became famous.
There are some great versions of "Ghost Riders in the Sky", but this is my favorite.
