What is this sh*t. Small patch maybe 3” diameter. Looks purplish from a distance, kick it around and it’s dust. Showed up over night.
Never seen this. Ideas, looks like eggs of some sort to me.

Fungus. Use a bag of FSTOP. Made to kill fungus on grass.

I was hoping fungus. I have 3 different types of Fungi that pop up in the yard different times of the year where there once were trees. Sadly no morels or edibles.

That is slime mold. Not a big deal... does not really hurt the grass much. Wipe off with a broom if it really bugs you. If not, just ignore.
i have a small flock of free ranging ducks, I have no more fungus, and no dandelions, they won't eat the clover but at least it doesn't look so bad. These ducks eat all the bugs and ants. and are entertaining to watch. the dog (golden retriever) freaks out if they get to far from there quack house and carries them all back. But ducks so far are my anwser to lawn care. We will see how winter goes with them.
A yard full of ducks is especially pleasing to bare feet.

Either way it’s in an area where I have had problems, and I am getting ready to re-seed. The lawn is Bluegrass- Rye mix and this is an area where it gets matty and a totally different color almost like a water grass. Either way I will go to town tomorrow get some FStop and treat it before it’s time to fertilize and re-seed.
