Summer that is. feels like fall here in the great commonwealth of PA. i ain't ready. needed a friggen coat on my little putt around town last evening. maybe i need to move south where the men are men and heat is debilitating.
Yes, it's been late all spring, and summer, but it's beginning to look as though that time is just lost. No Dog Days at all.
If you miss it, you can come down here for a few days...
It'll be here at least until late October.
Cool all summer here.
No dog days coming either.

There is no reason to feel morose, it is warming up here and I believe that today I cut my last load of wood for the year.

...HEAT INDEX VALUES BETWEEN 105 AND 109 DEGREES ARE EXPECTED TODAY... The combination of warm temperatures and high dewpoints will produce heat indices between 105 and 109 degrees today. Residents with outdoor activities planned are urged to drink plenty of water, wear light weight and light colored clothing and take frequent breaks from the heat. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances. This is especially true during warm or hot weather when car interiors can reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
62* this morning.......in the house......
Thank God it's over. Time to put away the fishing poles and break out the guns. Squirrel season opens next weekend !

I’m hoping for an early fall. You know wish in one hand. Hasbeen

The best fishing is coming up, dont give up now.
It was 100' yesterday and will be about the same today in N. Nevada but it's only 5 or 6 weeks to the first hard frost.
Can't wait.
Little dabble of rain we had last evening has humidity at 87% this morn. Currently 83F at the beautiful Canta Forda ranch! 100F predicted this afternoon. It’s cooled off just a smidgen!

Been fishing every week since April. Going fishing again this evening and I'm taking this coming Friday off from work to go fishing one last time before hunting season opens. Have had enough of it for this year and am looking forward to Squirrel gravy and biscuits.

We need a good cold front to push some of those big northern dove down here!
You gonna come dove hunt with me?
Fall hunting season !!!!!
Got down into the 90s here this weekend. Had to break the sweaters out.
That reminds me...I gotta split some wood PDQ or we'll be shivering in six weeks!
Thank God it's over. Time to put away the fishing poles and break out the guns. Squirrel season opens next weekend !
I'm with ya on that! I had enough summer by April. I'm tired of dust, weeds, hearing lawnmowers every evening and mowing my own grass. I'm happy to see frost and snow flurries.
It has felt like fall here for the last two weeks. I have been seeing morning temps around 55 degrees just as the sky starts turning light. We have been seeing fog lying over the bottom lands along the Payette River and using the heater/defooger in the poickup on the way to work.
Jacket weather in the morning, but 95 to 100 degrees by 3:00 PM.
We have several truck farms around the area with produce stands on the highway. So far none have had tomatoes, because due to unusually cool weather this summer, none have turned red. The vines are full of green tomatoes. One stand resorted to putting a few green ones out for sale.
Yeah not over in South MS until late October.
our fall/winter fishing is great down here. cooler water and the tuna will be in closer, can get them 30-40 miles out.

I could fish every day. I realize I am one of the few who can. Enjoy your hunting season. I love hunting too, but fishing you can let your buddies have the fish. With hunting, you shoot it then you eat it.
Yep.
We had rain and fog a couple days ago.....
Just in time to chase the doves further south before the opener....
as usual.
We’ve also had a somewhat cooler than normal summer, but, the last few mornings certainly have that “fall” feeling! I’m like’n it! memtb
108 here tomorrow. Where are the August early fall mothers? Uh, others? I mean, Northers? (Freaking auto correct pos.)
........maybe i need to move south where the men are men and heat is debilitating.
Pfffffft!...... “debilitating”?
I’m surrounded by weenies.......
It's 61 degrees now and we will hit 85 up here today so summer is well present. Come Wednesday we will be back in the inferno of the Texas Hill Country...
If you miss it, you can come down here for a few days...

There’s always one day every year when I bicycle into work in the morning in t-shirt weather and end up riding home freezing my a$$ off on the way home in 40-something degrees and raining.
Most often over the past thirty-plus years this has occurred during the first week of November.
We had a high of 73* here yesterday. Supposed to get up to a high of 75* for the next few days with lows in the low to mid 50's.
I checked weather app on phone around 7 showed 58. Estimated a high of 98.
I'm ready for a little fall weather.

It was so hot here last month and I complained about it enough, I was told I whined about the heat like a Texan!
52°F here last night 75°F here today. Winter is around the corner.
Rainy and cool summer that is reminiscent of the ones we had when I was a child. Today is sunny but not too hot, probably get into the mid to upper 70’s today. I love these types of summers and I like not being covered up in smoke from wildland fires.
Last week we had a couple of mornings in the upper 40’s, yet i5 still managed to get into the low 90’s. Predicting this week: lows in upper 40’s/low 50’s with highs in upper 70’s/ low 80’s! Liking it.....a lot! memtb

Hadn't seen that one before.... Sounds like our place!
Canta Forda ranch
i love summer. not just for the weather but for the long days. getting up at 5:30 with the birds singing, able to take a stroll in just my shorts and flip flops, drinking a coffee and watching the sun come up. mowing the grass, picking tomatoes and berries. i like heat. must have gotten used to it living in ms, la and tx back in the 80's. never owned a car with a/c until i was well over 30. i appreciate the fall and actually like the brutal bitter cold of jan/feb but i could take summer all year. its the short days that kill me in winter. maybe i need to see my doctor about levitra as the commercial says.
just got done picking some brandwines and cukes. excellent year for the garden. maters and cukes going friggen wild. i even have a hell of a volunteer pumpkin patch growing where i dump my compost. best punkins i ever grew. theres one about the size of a medicine ball and half dozen or more basketball and soccer ball sized. the thornless blackberries i planted last year did pretty well and i picked about a quart of berries the size of my thumb. next year ought to be a good one. new canes all over the place.

but its a dry heat
Here in Indiana it has been a cooler summer, few days in the 90's and no heat wave at all. Last few weeks temps have been in the mid to upper 70's and overnight temps are getting down into the upper 50's. Not your typical Hoosier summer weather at all, I don't believe the hot weather is gone for good as we can still have temps in the 90's in September and early October.
Going to be good concrete pouring weather monday and tuesday.
the hurricane season is cranking up in the carribbean.
those who receive one or more will have myriad insects drowned,
lot's of wells & aquifers refurbished.
and lot's of insurance claims.
We still have roughly another month of hot weather ahead but for a couple of days now the humidity has been way down in the mornings and evenings.

Hurricane Harvey struck here 2 years ago today.
I'll pass on another one for awhile.

Pretty much the same deal here in northeast MT.
Haven't hit 100F yet which is rare.
Our silage corn is about a month late and is just making cobs. We need another month before a frost, nervous.......
Barry, the plus side to this goofy weather is that the grass out in the hills is still green.
Unbelievable for the end of August.
We just moved the swather and balers 16 miles north of here and the country looks amazing.
95 at my buddy's shop in Golden,CO this afternoon. Two more 90 degree + days forecast for midweek.
Erie, here. Summer was a nice 2 weeks...

Always a good thing to have the feed growing!
Mine's lacking a bit here...
Best three months of the year around here; Aug., Sept. and Oct..
96 yesterday in Golden, Colorado. Supposed to be in the low 80's for a few days though.
Been a nice change for 3 days here in the Blue Ridge section of the Appalachians but it ain't over by a long shot. Back to mid 90's by mid-late week.
Set a record for the lowest high on record here on Saturday.
