Someone had a pig weight guessing contest awhile back. I wanted to have three good size pigs but these are what I caught this morning, 7 small ones and a good size boar. I weighed them, so guess the combined weight. I have a bunch of bases and rings for a prize plus a knife I found. The mounts are mostly Leupold for Remington 700, some Burris rings and Leupold Rings, also a knife I found.

My guess was 360 before I weighed them. I thought boar pig would go 185. I was close one the little piggies.

Well, dang that Ohio guy. Going the game show route and topping me by a measly 1/2lb for the win.

Not being a hog hunter I did pretty good guessing that boar at about 175.5 . I then used muscular dog weight estimates on the smaller ones.

Gonna hafta go to TX and practice up after killing a few pigs in case you have another contest

When I first saw him in the trap pen, I thought boar would go 200, but cut back to 185 dragging him out of pen to trailer. I truly do not make accurate guesses on pigs. I would have bet 200 bucks the pig below would have went 210, but only weighed 190.

Well, Rip, when I saw the size of that one at the back of the trailer and no teats it became apparent to me it was a boar. I can see his huevos peeking there over that board on the back.

But, it's not a very good pic of them 13lb nuts!
