7am here, just getting light good, family's sleeping. Yard trees need all the lower branches removed for sprinkler clearance. I'm ready to roll. Give em another hour? grin

That doesn't matter, for if he starts that damned chainsaw on a Sunday morning they are going to hate his guts anyway.
What's the range to the neighbors, and what kind of firepower do they have?
Well, the lot sizes here are 5 acres or bigger. House on either side is empty. One we call Disneyland with the big pond out front with the lights and fountains shooting up in the air. Brick spires on the house look like they belong on a medieval castle. They just use it as a weekend getaway for the kids. I was told it costs $7000 a month just to pay the electricity and maintenance costs on it. "The White House" on the other side with it's tall columns out front was purchased last year but still sits empty until they can get up here from, guess where, California. Almost wish they were here so I could welcome them to Oregon with a Stihl serenade.

It's just my own family I'm thinking about.
When I was a kid in smallville Tx, Sunday morning was no work, no racket, no nothing except church.
If you were going fishing, you left before the church people got out and about. My riding lawnmower has
headlights so I can start mowing at 4:30a.m.

Depends on if you like your neighbors family or not.
I always find yellow jackets when I run the saw on Sundays. God telling me I needed to be in church.
Lost cause- - - - -that place is already "California North". I left Commiefornia in 1980 headed back home to Tennessee, and I stopped and took a final whiz on the west side of the California/Nevada state line. Best sight I ever saw was the border fading out of sight in my mirrors!

Really, that is what you got...not you shouldn't be sticking a chainsaw up the arse of the first wasp nest you find?
Happens on the bush hog tractor too.

Sunday is for grilling mammals
Wait until you hear the second lawn mower, weed whip, chainsaw, or other engine fire up. That way you aren't the one to begin any noise issue. I learned this when I was stationed out of a residential fire house.

We had to run the pump up and fire the generator on the trucks every morning at the start of shift shortly after 7:00AM. We had no problem doing so Monday-Friday but waited until mid-morning on weekends and holidays as we the area was a middle class white collar neighborhood where people were up and usually out the door for work when we started our shift. The Saturday run up was not only front line trucks but the back up and auxiliary trucks plus all small engines and generators. It was easily an hour's worth of noise which was loud, irritating, and carried a ways.

A new chief came in and demanded truck checks be done at the same time every day and we were forced to do checks first thing. That was not appreciated by the residents and somehow the chief's phone number was obtained by some of the more irate residents. The 7:10 phone calls were irksome but he did not change his policy. When the calls started as early as 3:00 AM, his wife told him to change his policy or face her wrath. 2 Chiefs later and truck checks are done at 9:00AM or second lawn mower whichever is first.
Handsaws are quiet and will build massive arms.
Electric chainsaw, if it close to the house.

I'm not going chainsaw shopping, I'm using one of the four I've already got! crazy

Probably do a good bunch of it with the Echo pole saw so I can reach inside from outside.
Racist chainsaw Nazi!!
I never start any motors, saws etc before 8 AM and don't use them after 7PM. I am courteous to my neighbors and expect the same out of them. Doesn't matter if there is one neighbor you don't like, there are others to consider too.

That's the way it ought to be ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^.

I use to do rotating shift work and one night a fellow came to work complaining about his neighbor cutting grass during the day. He said he had asked the neighbor to wait a few hours and let him get some sleep, but the neighbor said it was his yard and he'd cut his grass when he wanted to. Sounds like there might have been other issues, but I'm not sure. So the the fellow I worked with cranked up his mower one morning about 2 am, we had worked 3-11 shift that day. Here come his neighbor, complaining about needing to sleep. Fellow worker told him it was his grass and he'd cut it when he want to. From then on, the neighbor would make sure my friend got his sleep.

And that's the way to handle it.

I had a neighbor that let his dogs bark at night. After several talks with him I got nowhere, I started calling him when the dogs woke me up and let him know that his dogs were barking.

Miraculously the dogs quit barking at night. grin
I dilly dallied until the wife got up, now it's cookin breakfast time. The work day will be half over before I get started now.
Wake them up, they will sleep better tonight.
Get a suppressor for it..😊

Smart move, you don't want to piss off the wife. Or so I hear.

Very true.
Chainsaws at 0700. If you want to see how much your wife loves you touch off a 220 Swift at 0530 out the kitchen window at a coyote. Whiles she's still sleeping.

"Did you get him? Yup. Thanks for the warning." There might have been a few more words than that on her behalf.
5 trailer loads to the river bank so far. 3 or 4 to go.
