put a new roof on the house back at the start of the year, decided I was done getting on a roof for as long as I could be so I put gutter guards in place this morning.

Ordered 200' of these aluminum 6" guards that slip up under the lip of the shingle and you use sheet metal screws to hold in place. About 3 hours of my time and $250 later and I think (I hope) I'm done climbing on my roof for as long as I own this house. Very little effort, I sat on the roof, just used tin snips to make 45 degree angles at the corners and things moved along pretty fast

I wanted to get it done before the leaves started falling

I'd be afraid of ice dams but we get a lot more snow in the Rockies.

Is that top edge slipped under the lip of the shingle, or is there another lip that I can't see, under the lip of the shingle. Looks good!

yea its got a lip and you slide it under the shingle, kinda like tongue in groove, then it kind of snaps into place onto the gutter
