even wabigoon in his idealistic world knows that.

in terms of progress, and movement forward, how can we help?

voting helps, at least i reckon it does. but i can't prove it scientifically.

what if folks who carry the theological club, and folks who carry the science club are both wrong?

whoa! how can that possibly be? well, there's a water hole (the urth?), and folks are defending the water hole.

civilization is hanging by a thread? why, that's just crazy talk. listen to my neighbor who drives a mercedes. he'll tell you.

I guess I just never thought about myself that way. Is that a good, or bad thing?

Dont ask Gus.

His furnace is not vented properly.
i've always been amazed at how the romans managed to lose their empire.

they had it all, at the time pretty much.

then hadrian's wall.

and those pesky germans and the rhine river.

and the next thing ya know, the irish were saving western civilization.

if i didn't have cherokee ancestors, could i grow corn, squash & pumpkins?

the High Priests at NASA are working overtime to puncture a hole in the atmosphere?

an overheated pre=fab fireplace is Not a pretty sight.

on the other hand, i just hate for the babies to freeze to death in the cold.
I don't know if civilization as a whole is hanging on by a thread but I know each individual is hanging onto civilization by a thread.

when the roman legions couldn't defend their borderlands, apparently the writing was on the wall?

katy knows full well how to bar the door. but will the order ever be issued?

maybe we're in a transition zone? hell if you do, hell if you don't??

Hopefully some Brazilian off duty police officers will keep us safe.

i believe if it was left up to me, i'd choose to vote. for better or worse.

i got out-voted long ago and far away with johnson's crowd.

that taught me a lesson i've never forgotten.
Johnson has to be one, if not the worst presidents in the history of the United States.

totally in agreement.

ol peanut carter was a great state senator for sw georgia agricultural district.

after that, things just continued further & further downhill.

and it ain't stopped yet.

what we've got here is a conundrum, whatever that is.

In terms of a solution, the solution isn't very civilized.

in all honesty, i don't guess i have ever been over-taxed.

because if i had, i'm pretty sure i would have refused to pay.

but i have felt the pain of near over-taxation more than once in life.

it doesn't seem fair to tax the workers with excessive taxes to cover for the slackards.

do know anyone that would trade their scientific developed devices carried under their 2A rights

for the safety and comfort in the arms of Jesus?

shepherds are not 'take a bullit for you' bodyguards.

theologian types talk of the promise of a paradise, yet they be highly fearful of leaving this scientifically infused
and inferior wicked world they know.

They lost it the same way we're losing ours, through unfettered immigration.

When I was first deployed to Italy in 1996 I looked around and asked myself how these people could have ruled the known world at one time. The laziness of the modern day Italian makes the Spanish look industrious. Nice people mind you, but they sure know how to pass a day without accomplishing anything of value. The answer is that modern Italians aren't really descendents of the Romans, or at least they don't have much Roman blood in them. Rome had been so populated by traders and slaves from around the mediterranean that there wasn't much "roman" left in the Romans, they had been bred out of existence. By the time the Roman empire officially fell in 476 it wasn't so much that it fell to invaders but rather that the emperor was deposed by a member of the roman army who was of germanic tribal descent. The emperor at that time was himself germanic, the Roman emperor hadn't been a real roman in a long time.

Multiculturalism is what did the Romans in.
Nothing lasts forever. Some economists, the neo classicists, seem to believe that perpetual growth is not only possible but desirable.
I’m of the opinion that civilozation hasn’t done anything “new” but repeats the same old stuff, to a more extreme level, over and over.
Go from Ryegate, to Wisdom, to Pinedale, and then to Denver. Civilization is not gone, but it damn sure isn’t to be found in the big cities. The divergence from the first three to the last is an assault on the senses. Soon as my job is not location dependent(next year), I will be in a more civilized location. And Denver likely will never see me again, nor any place east of Wyoming. What is left of civilization is in the flyover country. The rest needs to be burnt to ash to exterminate the vermin that have infested a once civilized society.
the continuous dumbing down of the population to follow and not lead is beginning to have it's effects.

atlanta has grown from a lovely southern small city in the late 50-s & 60's, to the urban monster it is now.

and the growth continues. we need to have several deadly shootings each day to meet the stringent quotas.

the good news is that when the urth's population reaches 14 billion we can have two each of all the individual cities.
