And your point is?
I'd like to hear about harry's as well. Looking for new razors myself.
When I burn through the last of my Gillette's, I will be looking hard at them...

I use them. My wife gave them to me a couple of years ago and I've used them ever since. Pretty satisfied with the blades and their shave cream
Posted By: 7mmMato Re: Harry's shaving razors, - 11/03/19
Bought one a few weeks ago. Works so much better than any other razor I have ever used. I like it so much I shave twice a week instead of just once. Smooth shave and sharp. I recommend them.

the frequency Gentlemen,

Do you need to be on a frequency?

They do sell 8 packs outright it appears.
Posted By: Cretch Re: Harry's shaving razors, - 11/03/19
I've been using them for a while now. Been pleased with them. I shave every day and I probably get a month out of each cartridge. However I don't have as thick of a beard as some guys.
Some years back I'm in SAMs Club and looking at razors decided I didn't enjoy shaving enough to spend 40yams on a couple of multi blade razors. I've been buying double edged saftey razors ever since. less than $5.00 for a pack of razors (5 count), and every bit as good of a shave. Not Harrys, but same principle.

Never used them so I can't say anything about them.
I do know you can buy them at Wal-Mart.
I would imagine you can buy them at other places as well.
Just signed up. I refuse to buy any more gillete razors and finally ran out last week.
Posted By: Ole_270 Re: Harry's shaving razors, - 11/03/19
Bought one a month or so ago, only used it on a trip one time. Worked good, waiting on the current brand to wear out, will switch then.
My Wife bought one for me against my wishes. I don't like it. Tried it twice, put it away. Got it back out a few weeks ago. Same conclusion. Too many blades, wrong angle between head and handle.

I hate shaving. Growing my winter beard now. Not much shaving until about March.
Posted By: tater74 Re: Harry's shaving razors, - 11/03/19
Best ones I have used. 3-4 weeks per cartridge.
I've heard good things about them. Better than Gillette from what I understand and much cheaper.

Well hell, can't beat that. Just ordered...

I bought this one at Walmart.

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Harry-s-Men-s-Razor-with-2ct-Blade-Cartridges-Forest-Green/794690548

It's a tool, it works. No better or worse than anything else I've tried.
Posted By: RockyRaab Re: Harry's shaving razors, - 11/04/19
Been using mine for almost a year now. You can specify how often you want refill shipments, and can change that at any time. I shave at most 8 to 10 times a month, and I change blades on the first of each month - long before I need to. I could probably get at least six weeks on a blade. I highly endorse them.
Posted By: hookeye Re: Harry's shaving razors, - 11/04/19
Got them as gift from kids.
Used to shave daily til bee allergy.
That yrs ago, but since then, shave once a week.

Prefer Gillette.

But since they went stoopid it's Harry's now.
Usable but different.

More strokes, head a bit big, do get used to it, eventually
Beard is not dense but is thick.

Last long enough to not consider the cost diff.

Shaving.......it's ALL a waste of money LOL

I think I have shaved 3 times in 58 years
Posted By: 280shooter Re: Harry's shaving razors, - 11/04/19
I've been happy with them for the last year or two.

No need here. When we moved to Oz six years ago I bought a few mega-packs of Gillette M3's at Costco as costs in Oz are nuts. AIso shipped hot sauce, salsa... I am still running on what I bought then.
Posted By: EQFD193 Re: Harry's shaving razors, - 11/04/19
I don't use the razors but I do take care of his house in the Hamptons...very good clients smile!

15 yard penalty, for being off topic.

Hope your place kicker has better direction than you.

Good to know....will be switching over as well because Gillette is not an option anymore.
Posted By: viking Re: Harry's shaving razors, - 11/04/19
I hone my Mach 3’s, then I get a few shaves out of them.
They're ok ,except I cant shave under my nose due to its design. I have a bic razor handy for that. In about a year when I use up my supply I will be looking for something else.

Yeah I went to them after the Gillette fiasco but Harry's went full Liquor Guns Bacon and Tits not long after. I can't readily find the link but I may have to go the homeless look.

Do some Google!
Feather is one of the be$t blades. $50/100

Some are as cheap as $7/100.

Just started the DE safety razor thing. Can't recommend it enough.

Cheaper
Good shave
Doesn't irritate the skin as bad
Reduces ingrown hairs.

Sounds like snake oil. It ain't.

I don't understand why we ever quit using them,
To pay more for junk.

It does take a little more time to clean your razor after a shave.
Maybe a minute.
But, like guns, it's a taking care of your tools thing.
Not a doing the dishes thing.

I switched to them 2 yrs ago. Great razor and half the price of Gillette whatever. My wife gets them at target for me. Far as them single blade atrocities you can keep them..
Posted By: cisco1 Re: Harry's shaving razors, - 11/05/19

Been using them a while now .I Like 'em .To get max life ...dry blades after use.
Posted By: hanco Re: Harry's shaving razors, - 11/05/19
My son buys them
Posted By: RockyRaab Re: Harry's shaving razors, - 11/05/19
One thing nobody has mentioned yet is the Harry's blade head has an extra, separate single blade on the back side of the razor head. It is the "trimming" blade, intended to trim sideburns and such, but is also ideal for getting right up into that awkward spot right under your nose. Just flip the razor over to use it. It's genius.

I bought a 100 pack of Feathers last Nov/Dec and paid about $22.00
You can get them cheaper than $50/100

What country manufacturer's them?
Posted By: RockyRaab Re: Harry's shaving razors, - 11/05/19
"Them" meaning Harry's? I think they're made in Germany.
Posted By: CJC73 Re: Harry's shaving razors, - 11/05/19
Been using them for over 3 years. great shave. my wife buys the replacement blades from Target i think. I don't shave daily but one cartridge lasts me 3 weeks i'd say. That little single blade on the opposite side is great for under the nose. the first time i used them, i didn't like them either, but just had to get used to the angle and everything. after two shaves, all good.
Posted By: baxterb Re: Harry's shaving razors, - 11/05/19
I’ve tried them. I have one I take when I travel. But I just dont like it. 5 blades are too many, and takes off too much skin. They just can’t beat the Mach 3.
