BRC pledged in 2017 to employ 10,000 veterans,

2018, they had 102 employees with 47 of them actual vets.

any idea what the vet.employee count is in 2019?

I do know that BRC also employs some Afghan muslims.

I don't think 'AK-47 blend' coffee sounds very patriotic ..
and 'Thin Blue Line" I suspect would be a turn-off for many.

They are working their way toward that number. Obviously you aren't going to have that many employees at a small coffee company. Through their partnership with 5.11 Tactical, they are working their way up. I am impressed that nearly half their workforce are vets! BRCC owner Evan Hafer doesn't give a schidt who he turns off.

anyone with half a business mind knows that such approach is a double-edged sword.

not sure how well the military tough guy approach works in the retail food business world.

I was looking at their page today, I can’t decide what blend to try. What’s y’alls favorite.

Yes - former interpreters and such that worked with our troops - BRCC has publicly posted videos on this, never tried to hide it.

Many Iraqis and Afghan people worked along with us daily, most were under daily threat of retaliation, but they still came every day.

The coffee is OK, I like it enough to buy some for work, and I like some of the videos that go with the message.

Near 50% veteran work force is better than average from what I see.

Freedom Blend is a good starter - JMHO.

Medium strength flavor, middle of the road between a Dark or Light roast.
Love BRCC, their gear and their videos.

I prefer dark roasts. The darker the better. Murdered Out is one of their dark roasts which to me is between Full City and French Roast. Haven't tried Beyond Black yet. CaF is a light-medium roast that really is caffinated as fvkk. I don't drink it unless I really need the turbo boost.

Ive heard nothing but good things...
Posted By: Starman Re: Black Rifle Coffee Anyone? - 11/18/19
so Wali, the son of a mujahidden jihadist rebel leader went from being an Afghan commander to become a cashier in America
where his neighbors didn't like him and rejected his family.

That tells me they also won't buy BRC coffee from the store he works in ...lol.

why didn't the owner of BRC produce a "Mohammad Wali" roast ? I mean its the least he could do in honor of the guy
that put himself at so much risk of retaliation in the M.E.

[p.s ...just having some fun trying to get a rise out of the muslim haters on the fire]

Nope but they recently opened a nice brick and mortar place in town.
You’re a fugking idiot. Don’t like it then don’t drink it stupid.

I think Matt Best has a few words for you on this subject:

Posted By: Starman Re: Black Rifle Coffee Anyone? - 11/18/19
Mr Best is not breaking any laws and making a good buck the free market capitalist way.

but some who claim to be patriotic and supporting of vets also don't like and accept Muslims like Best does.

maybe they could put their hate aside ,follow Bests example and welcome a muslim family into their community,
even if they don't buy BRC coffee.

if Mat Best didn't learn to get along with Muslims over his five deployments , what chances would he have
of doing his job properly in the military and when working for the CIA ?

Thats one of the conundrums military servicemen face in the M.E and Afghistan, ...having to work with muslims
that employ methods just as cruel, brutal and barbaric as the' bad' Taliban and Al-Qaeda, but have to be tolerated
in order to maintain a working relationship with Western forces.

anyways Wali, the son of a mujahiddeen jihadist leader and x-CIA operative Mr. Best
have a lot in common that goes back before the coffee roasting began.

lot's of brands of good coffee out there in the free market.

but i don't want to slow down the discussion about this particular brand.

Hell Jim PM me your address and I will send you some after the thanksgiving holiday. I would send it sooner but I’m gone for a week.

I have tried several but my favorite is murdered out dark roast.
I found it in the booming megopolis of Clancy MT this summer.

It was pretty good. Don't usually drink coffee on road trips (eats a hole in my stomach) but I stopped in on principle.

The guy who ran the little shop looked to be a Veteran, looked in shape like guys who go out of their way to stay in shape.

I got some at PSA one day. It was okay, I'd give it about a 7 on my personal 0 -10 coffee scale. As it is, we have three favorite beans. Sunday nights, when I clean out the grinder for the week, we put one of those three in the weekly rotation.

At nearly quadruple what I pay for my bulk Sam's K-Cups, I doubt I'll think it's worth it even if I think it's real good. That said, their product will remain a novelty to me. At 50 cents per cup, I could become a regular if it were exceptional. At over $1 per cup there's no chance. What's their best business strategy?

i like community coffee, and also dunkin' stuff. lot's of good stuff out there.

i think i'd like this coffee. haven't seen it locally in the publix, or kroger.

it might be there, if so i've walked passed it. will look some more.

what we coffee drinkers need is good stuff at low prices.

and for the producer, that implies high volume sales?
Reprezintin at the camp. Thin Blue Line is the best one I have tried so far.

Hey Paul,

reading back through this I noticed your comment about the cost of the K-cups. You ever think of getting the reusable cup deal and just getting their ground coffee if it's less expensive? Just take the cup outside the door and knock the grounds out on the ground. No plastic trash filling up your camper can.

I use one every day at home. Works like a charm and I can use the coffee I like.
Listen to the meateater pod cast with the owner....good stuff!

I ought to give it a try. The Thin Blue Line variety is very good. At over $1.00 a cup though, it is spendy.

I am having GunShip today. I usually get MO. Whenever I get to Scheels I buy a couple of bags.
