I can be happy a lot of places, probably more contingent upon who is there as opposed to where. I've been a lot of places but seldom leave the Missouri-Kansas-Oklahoma area that I live in. I'm half Texan, so I go down there once in awhile, but a lot has changed. I'm not that far from Arkansas, but I seldom go there. It's okay, I'm just seldom there anymore.

South Kaibab Trail and Bright Angel Trail..........Grand Canyon National Park
The hollow up above our deer camp on Boone Mountain in Clearfield County, Pa. Dad shot a lot of deer up there, and when I get back out east I always hunt up there. It matters not if a see a deer up there. I just like being there with Dad. Hallowed ground to say the least. There's an old gnarled beech tree up there with about 40 slash marks on it. Most of them are Dad's, about 6 are mine, and a few others from other hunters too. Each one is for a deer shot from that very spot.

I guess I've gotten old. I spent the day in a tractor seat dragging a disc around the backside of my property.

I haul my wife to a beach somewhere a couple of times a year. But while we're there I'm usually working a toddy and thinking about sitting in a tractor seat dragging a disc around the backside of my property.

*Here* I am and *here* is where I prefer to be.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

Home here in Clarksville Tn and out in the woods hunting.
Seen enough of the frigging planet.
Vacations and travel dont interest me one bit.

In Door County, WI, there is a rock just big enough for one person to sit. It's in 6 inches of water on the opposite side Whitefish Bay from Cave Point. Up until 18 years ago, that was my favorite spot in the world.

Now? I'd have to say my favorite spot is the shamanic thoughtful spot. It's just out back from the house. I adjourn there every morning I can with a cup of coffee and watch the sun come up. In the evening, I sit and watch the gathering of dusk and observe the deer and turkeys.

East Texas

[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]

Cousins place in E Texas. I stayed there about a couple weeks while helping a distant cousin re cancer TX travel and some hunting.

When I arrived she had 8 blue birds and 5 scissor tailed flycatchers which enjoyed that wood fence. She has a small pond just beyond the backyard fence in the edge of woods which a great blue heron fished daily.

2 kestrels had just moved in with the advent of cool weather as had a chicken hawk. I saw the big hawk circle in to land behind the heron to plan an attack on 3 occasions but the heron vacated each time.

At the end of my time there, only 1 scissor tail, one kestrel and one big hawk remained.

I *used* to like Ocracoke Island.

Then it got discovered and began filling up with communists and illegals.

The creator finally saw enough and washed it away with hurricane Dorian.

As a result, the communists and illegals are moving out. It'll probably be a nice place again in 5 years.

,...was looking at an Ocracoke facebook page today. A bunch of Mennonites had brought a lot of food out to the residents there,...free. Just show up and eat it. Some fat Communist bitch commented that she hoped they would be serving some vegetarian dishes.

The people were nice,...told her that they would fix her up a vegetarian dish.

Way I see it,...her fat ass could stand to miss a meal every now and then, anyway.

I would have told her "No,...the free meal today is pork ribs. If you're a vegetarian you need to sit home and chew on a carrot. Besides,.....your ass is too fat to be a vegetarian, anyway. I think you're bullshittin".

Put *that* on the fuggin' facebook page.
