Thanks Wab.
praying for the lost ones on here tonight.
Thanks! It's good to go over that again!
Good foundational stuff.

Thank you for that Wabi.
Amen.
When did the word sins get traded for debts ???
Way I learned it was
“Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.”
Probably different versions have different wording,

Yep. And I’ve always figured trespasses were sins. That’s the version I grew up with.
That’s a pretty far cry from “debts”

Never heard that version before.
Thanks for posting Wabi. Always good to hear this again.
I'm taking this and highlighting that forgive our debts bit straight to the bank tomorrow morning
AMEN!
Trespasses, etc. - the way I was taught by the nuns . smile
Knuckle bustin' group, too! (Not that I ever deserved it ! smile )

Didn’t mean to sidetrack Wabi’s thread. Just never seen it worded like that before.
That is the version I grew up with as a Presbyterian, I think it is the same idea. Myself it's easier for me to forgive trespassers, than debtors . My weakness.
Amen, thanks!
Good stuff.
