Last week I was inquiring about a toolbox for a pickup.

Along with the inquiry I had mentioned(whined) that some local tweakers had relieved me of most of my wrenches and some other random stuff.

Get home about 20 minutes ago and see a package on the front deck. Hmmmmm.

Address from sender, a guy by the name of Brian from Kingston, MA.

Hmmm.

Didn't take long for my usually dim bulb to light up!

In the package a nice assortment of good stuff.

I'm still smiling.

Thanks man!
That’s great, member here??
Yes, our cyber buddy Kingston.

The trap had me laughing.

hey, not any "Harbor Freight" in there. coool! trap is great too.
well played Kingston
not too shabby for a dam yankee........
He's hooked me up with something better than my crappy cell phone for photos.

He is a helluva man.

Now to get the camera back from the daughters....
I feel kinda weird now.

Already thinking about what to send back.

It is fruitcake season....
Did I mention that somebody stold my John Deere 4052M tractor?

(It's worth a try)
maybe a new calf? could make a nice support animal.
Send that rat trap back......Set.

Brian's a good dude.

I didn't see that thread Sam, Find them SOB's and stomp their asses. I fuggin' hate thieves.
Once knew a guy that kept 2 pet rattlesnakes in his tool box. Nothing ever came up missing.
There's some great folks here!

Just today I got the mail... And guess what was in there??!!

The brand new 2020 Tiddy Girl calendar for my tractor! grin

Last year one of our good guys here sent me one, and it runs out after next month... Fresh tiddies every month now for another year! laugh

I am glad he remembered me! Good guy for sure!
Well that's mighty gentlemanly Kingston.

Now hang on to them and don't loose them punk! lol Ya know, I remember when the back of a truck was pretty much sacred ground. People might break into a car or the cab but people just didn't mess with the a guy's truck. Fuggers.
YOU! Calm down!

A guy can always use barbed wire....how did he get that in the USPS box?
Great score.

Nice work Kingston.

Around here you reach into the bed of a pick-up thats not yours and there is a good chance you will pull out a couple of Australian heelers and
and maybe a shepherd or two, of course they will be gnawing on your arms and fingers.

drover
No, no man, but thanks.

I am far from being money'd up but this was a minor hit(knock on wood)....

More or less a mildly expensive hassle and learning experience.

And I'm sure Brian knows that.

As my wife just said I think your friend was just trying to show you that goodness exists.

Back to sorting! If you change your mind let me know. Most. What I have is from estate sales where stuff like that wouldn't sell.
Very nice of him and a nice array of tools.

You can tell Miss Aubrey is pretty ladylike since she's not showing her coochie. Although it would've been a whole lot better if she had.
Hey man, see how karma multiplies good things?

Nice tools turns into nice tiddies!
Brian is a good dude. Sharp as hell to. He spends the night here prior to the annual hog hunt. He didn't like the slippers I wore and sent me a very nice pair. I know he would be ecstatic if you could send him some carne guisada as he eats the hell out of it here. Sorry Sam, guessing no comprende on the latter...

All kidding aside, that was very generous of him.

Sam, you should help the Salvation Army out ringing bells.
Some damn good folks here on the Fire! 🤠
So what does Brian want?

How to pay him back. Hmm.....

Didn't you say you stashed one you got from your great aunt in a closet after Christmas back in '94? It's probably still "good." wink

That was fast! I didn’t think the box would show up until Wednesday.

Your wife was right, I wanted to help make the world feel like a good place again. I’m glad it made your day, reading that made mine!
Did I mention a couple of my neighbors former casual laborers stole my best quality Beesely Action Purdey 28ga SXS, and now I can't quail hunt? Is Kingston still here...hello...hello... whistle whistle

Kingston has always been high on my list of the Campfire's very best.
That was very nice of you. I’m never not surprised by the thoughtfulness, kindness and generosity of so many good men here on the Campfire and Kingston is yet another great example. 👍👍
Sam, I could send you a 1 1/2 Victor - maybe I could find something even larger.

Naah - you might get into the beer, and forget it was in there ! smile smile smile

We start a go fund me page and raise enough money that Brian can finally retire the high interest debt he’s been paying for hairdressers trade school training.

He would jump over the moon if he no longer had to receive those monthly phone calls from “Pincurls and Perms School of Beauty for late payments....Just a thought, since you asked...😎
Jelly of the month club ! smile

What’s this mean?

If you’re trying to slam a thread where a guy did someone a solid for no other reason than seeing a way to help... You have your face buried too deep in your boyfriends o-ring to decipher good deeds.

Pick a better battlefield dumb-dumb...No body is laughing with you, only at you...😎
Coolio Sammo,

that Eastern fella is a pretty nice guy.

Brian, maybe I shoulda whined about the hydraulic hose I just replaced on that old tractor of mine......................

sheesh, them things have gotten expensive compared to when I used to work on my buddy's Case 580 A's and B's. And I STILL don't really enjoy working on tractors.

I hope you like beef jerky......grin

And I believe it was Paul 99's that mentioned a 'pay it forward' thanks.

The last couple years we have been donating to a local rez dog shelter/rescue that does great work. They have relocated and saved literally hundreds of dogs.

Wolf Point Pound Puppies shall be receiving a little extra this year.
Hijacking a bit, how are the calves doing Sam? We had to treat two this morning.
Richard, other than muck next to the feed bunks they are doing well.
(we need a freeze up.......)

We've treated 4 so far, lost one.

The life of a cattle man is not so easy. We did get some posts pushed in the other day when it was nice.

It's the gesture that counts !

It works OK, as antifreeze.
I have yet to freeze my pipes!
I would suggest a bottle of Lord Calvert.....but I dont trust it since they went to a generic round bottle.

Most excellent Samm0 !
Wonder what ever became of the "white wolf"?
That's awesome - the mouse trap is adroit AF. laugh
Brian is good peeps. And it won't take long for Sam to break a whole bunch of stuff with that kit. *grins*
Jim, once in awhile I wonder the same thing.

Hope he's livin' large.

Scott, the mouse trap is still riding around on the dash...... And I'm too chicken to try and set that wicked sonuvabitch!.....grin

Along with Brian's generous 'gift' I've been looking around locally to replace things but ended up ordering a bunch of stuff as well.

Bought some USA stuff but most everything else is from Taiwan. I just couldn't afford to replace everything with American made tools. They are literally +5x as much as the Chinese(which accounted for zero of the replacements) and 2-3x as much as the goods from Taiwan.

I guess the toolbox was made in the USA so that counts.
(so far I really like it)

One more delivery this evening and we'll be set up way better than before.
