Is released on thanksgiving every year, excellent beer!
14.7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Imperial indeed!
Bourbon barrel aged, great stuff
The Swiss also make Santa beer one day per year. It's actually quite good.
That's more like barley wine!
How long is it aged?
Unaged barley wine can be pretty cloying.
If higher ethanol content makes it "best" just take a healthy swig of anything and then top it off with EverClear. Repeat until you fall over in a coma.

Used to do that in college. Called it turbobeer.
FWIW, Goose Island makes a very tasty IPA.
I’m pretty a sure I can’t get that in Utah... Nothing better than a good stout.

so Santa just sets the sleigh on autopilot and ILS so he can down a few?
How about some Bud Light?
You are very lucky to have found some! I search every year and haven’t found any in a long time. Some other stouts that I feel are equally good are Avery brewing Plank’D, against the grain 70k and dogfish head World Wide Stout
I suspect Harpoon is more than an east coast beer anymore but I had this seasonal from them a couple weeks ago. Laugh if you will but Wow, really excellent. balanced well and drinkable.
JMan, I don't remember getting into any Imperial grade brew.
Probably a good thing!
Pugs, speaking of funky.

Hmm, I don't see Scotch Ale and Coffee but willing to learn!
Pugs, we're overdue for an afternoon sampling the stouts at the Guiness Brewery a long rifle shot from your house!!

It is that time my friend. Alas, I have to go see my folks in FL next weekend. On the other hand, I will be getting some Snook fishing in with Dad so it's not all bad!
I bet the brewery will still be there when you get back!
Goose Island makes a good one! Avery, Firestone Walker and Lost Abby are also favorites. A couple made here in Arkansas are Nighty Nite by Lost 40 and BCDS from Ozark.
My personal all time fave is Tadcaster's Old Oatmeal Stout.
I see there are some biitches here, you boys that want a taste, simply shoot me a pm.....
Probably the one I drink most often.
In fact I'm having one as I type
ya!
GWB

Jeff, think they're based out of ohio....
I’m lame, My favorite is Guinness. I enjoy many types of beer, but only enjoy them at home when no one is looking. If I’m out and about in my hometown, all I drink is Bud Light. I can’t stand the guys who sit at the bar and try to dissect every ingredient while arguing if what they are drinking is a “true saison” or other garbage. I’m sure I’m the same way when talking cartridges and fishing rods. So, I drink Bud Light in contempt.
Other things I do to not be like people in my hometown:
Only drink instant coffee
Always clean shaven
No tattoos
No piercings
Iron my clothes
Have a job

Goose island is an Anheuser-Busch brand, this stout brewed in Chicago. Bud has spent a LOT of $$ buying up craft breweries and offering similar products. Still, this particular beer gets reviewed highly and I've had a few GI IPAs that were good as well. I'll try it if I see it
It looks wonderful... I love a good I.S.
