Why are intruders "alleged" when they're on video intruding?
That's a legal fiction that must be maintained by our criminal justice system until the accused is proven guilty to the satisfaction of the trier of fact, or until there is a confession entered into the court record. There's no reason at all for any individual not connected to the criminal justice system to maintain that legal fiction, however, when the facts are known, such as in this case. It's done by the press, often, merely in imitation of the process followed by the criminal justice system. They are under no obligation to do so, however.
