Before the gun deer season, I was duck hunting in some river backwaters and a thirsty buck appeared for a drink.




When he departed I caught him taking a dump.

You have some bruisers walking around in your area.

I have seen several deer while duck hunting. Saw one swim at least a 1/2 mile across a lake one time.

Never saw one as good as the one in your pic, though.

Good condition on that deer. Obviously a good forage year.

Farm country buck, alfalfa, beans and corn readily available.

Had a 10 pt come across a flooded field at us once. He was a giant. He got about 1/2 way across and near the edge of our decoys and turned around and went back to the same tree line he came from.

You must have prayed for a duck and the LORD thought you said buck. Good you didnt ask for a Fire Truck. You coulda got a a f..........lat tire.

I had some friends fishing the lower Chesapeake Bay years ago and snapped some pictures of two Doe's swimming across the bay. Why the two deer went out that far in the bay is beyond me.

I swear they know what season it is. I've seen nice bucks while squirrel hunting several times.

have seen them swimming in Baffin bay and across the enter coastal waterway out to the island.
