“Dad is a sorry low life bastid “

Correction,
Dad is a paid participant in a fake reality tv series .
Eating an apple in your stand and flinging the core downwind....CITATION!!! I'm glad I don't live in states that won't let me spread corn 4 inches deep for 50-yards with a front-end bucket.....

laugh
"Northwoods Law" never, ever showed a hunter doing things right, unless it was one of the wardens hunting with his family.

The producers wanted to make sure they got the whole white trash stereotype thrown under the bus in one clip

+1

The only thing that separates a "Reality Show" from a sitcom is that there are no union scriptwriters involved.
Hard watching the dad flagging his son with the muzzle of his gun the whole time they are walking.
My daddy killed all them deer Mr Game Warden!!
North woods law makes those game wardens look like Nazi Brown Shirts.
I watch that show occasionally to see the landscape. Never been to that part of the country.

You are right, they typically show most all hunters as miscreants of some type.

Show about the wardens in California was way worse for that though. Every person in the woods was breaking multiple laws and it was the mission of those game wardens to catch them at every turn.

If you gotta spread that much bait, you ain't much of a "hunter."

You're just shooting live targets.

Get on the ground, move slowly and quietly, play the wind, watch the woods for movement. That is hunting!!

Hunting over bait. Pffft!
I'm getting old. I want something to die so I can have something to fry.

Time was that you sell dog turds if you figured out a way to put a "3" on them.

It's a wonderful way to teach other kids how to be good citizens. You know, "when you see something, say something,....."
This world is a lesser place without Dale Earnhardt.

Not everybody Mike, but a lot. Lots of it found by the weight boys that work for the DOT. miles

That's exactly the approach of most PGC wardens.
The Wardens aren't too bad when they get a few whiskers,
And calm down. Our deputies?

It's a department for Barney Fife volunteers.
They used to have to pay for their own gun and costs.
You would run into to occasional one that wasn't even armed.
Only pay was mileage for their vehicle.
Attracted the real wannabe cops.
Constant turnover, as the experienced ones
got over the badge and gun syndrome, and got
tired of putting in the hours for almost no $$.

Great setup though.
No cost to PGC.
And every new Deputy brought a new circle of
info. Each new one knew people to watch.
Provided a well placed informant that ratted for free.
Always eager to please the warden/boss.

No! No sour grapes.
I have never been fined by one.
Just treated like a criminal at most encounters.
Even thought he wardens ask loaded questions, it's funny to watch those morons on the show self-incriminate themselves. Darwin at work.

Yeah, in the "Live Free or Die" state, at that. It seems exactly the opposite, to me.
