Ok. Ok. I'll play, what pellets?? I've been slowing down a lot lately, just put it up as age, 68. I remember my Dad at 76 still trapping. Even short bird hunts play me out. If there's something that will help I'm in. Thanks. Bill out. šŸ¾šŸ‘£šŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦

There are several ways to test for low T and a number of them do not accurately reflect what you level of T really is and most GP's don't have a clue about recent research nor do they want to hear anything about bio-available testosterone replacement.

It works. It literally saved my life. Long story, but I owe my life to Doc Rocket.

To all of you guys over 50, find an endocrinologist who practices bio-available hormone therapy and live longer and happier!

I might have to talk to my doc about something like that. Here lately I've become one of those dribbly old men with a walnut for a prostate.

On the other hand,....I think nature has a way of only allowing a man as much pussy as his heart can handle as he ages.

Of course,....there's not many better ways to die,....but my wife has been good to me.

I'd hate to put her through having me slide down the curtain and joining the choir invisible while I was in the saddle.

It'd probably give her a lifelong twitch.

How well do you know this doctor?

"Testosterone pellets are a form of hormone replacement therapy. They are about the size of a grain of rice, and a doctor will implant them under the skin.

These pellets contain crystallized testosterone and deliver a steady, low dose of this hormone to the individual for up to 6 months at a time."

I wouldn't stick anything up my ass til I got a second opinion.

I'm still on the fence about low T hormone replacement.

One Doc I talked to said once you start it, you have to continue it the rest of your life. Because when you get the added testosterone, your body senses you have enough, and quits making testosterone on it's own.

So if you stop, or cant afford the treatments any longer, your T levels will be zilch.

What blood tests did you get? I was feeling tired all the time 7 years ago when I went for my yearly physical so my Doc added the tests for thyroid and testosterone levels and they both came back normal except for the TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) which was a little high. I went back for another blood test for T3 and T4 levels (created by the thyroid) and they were both normal.

I'm feeling tired again (I'll be 77 next month) so I decided to get my thyroid and testosterone levels checked again. Instead of waiting for my yearly physical I did the tests myself. Actually a friend told me about the website healthtests.com where you can create an account and schedule lab work. The results come directly to you. I scheduled some lab work Dec 4 and got the results Dec 12:

1) Thyroid-TSH high but T3 and T4 was normal, same as 6 years ago. Cost $99.00

2) Testosterone- total 458 and free 7.4, my Doc didn't test the free level years ago but my total level was a slightly higher on this test. According to the lab report normal testosterone levels for males ages 19-39 are: total 294-916 and free 6.6-18.4. Cost $89.00

I guess my free T is kind of low but I still wake up with a boner most mornings and don't have ED yet. I'll ask my Doc what he thinks when I get my next physical. I would rather not take testosterone since I have a family history of prostate cancer and I don't want to grow tits. I think I'm probably tired from worrying about all the things I want to get done before I kick the bucket.

don't know about that, my brother is a competitive body builder/weight lifter. when he was in his 20s he took them for a few yrs. he doesn't take them now and is bigger and stronger at 51.
Posted By: Dillonbuck Re: pellets - 12/14/19
I have had orders for blood tests for over a year.
I have many symptoms. The fact th at I don't get my ass to the
lab, 5 miles away, is a good one.

Quality of life is the driver.
Wanting to do and not doing the things you like,
because you don't feel like it, sucks.

I got to fly my neighbors Mooney a couple of years ago. We did a run from Boerne to Llano for a Coopers BBQ lunch.

How does one know/feel that "pellets" are needed?

Androgens accelerate prostate cancer growth.
