At the end of every year, the United States Congress votes on a spending bill which dictates how the federal government will spend American taxpayer dollars in the coming year.

And every year, without fail, the anti-gun vultures in D.C. seize this opportunity to bury gun control funding deep within the text of this massive piece of legislation, and this year is certainly no different.

Today, December 17th 2019, Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s House of Representatives will vote on H.R. 1158, this year’s spending bill, which will approve an additional $206.6 Million in gun control funding.

If passed, H.R. 1158 will:

*** Give an $83.3 Million bonus to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), bringing their full yearly budget to a whopping $1.4 Billion to enable them to further violate the Second Amendment rights of American citizens.

*** Grant $78 Million to states which force more names into the gun control leviathan that is the NICS registration system.

*** Split up $25 million in grants, forcing the Centers for Disease Control and National Institutes of Health to conduct junk science “research” that will support Pelosi’s gun control agenda.

The list of gun control funding buried within this bill goes on and on, and there is no doubt the Democrats in the House of Representatives will surely vote to advance this bill to the United States Senate, which is where the real fight will take place.

If pro-gun Americans don’t want their tax dollars used to fund the radical gun control agenda, it is imperative they contact their Senators along with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell immediately, and urge them to oppose H.R. 1158 due to its gun control earmarks.

The number for the U.S. Capitol switchboard is (202) 224-3121, call now to be directed to your Senators.

The Senate could vote on this bill any day now, so it is crucial the pro-gun grassroots act immediately.

With a national election year right around the corner politicians are susceptible to their constituents’ pressure now more than ever. Which is why it is critical that pro-gun patriots take action to lobby their Senators today.

The National Association for Gun Rights will continue to track this breaking story as it develops.

Thanks for posting this. Time to call my Republican Senators.
Will make the calls today. They will not be happy until they get full confiscation.

Done.
The only problem is that my two senators, Murray and Cantwell, will not even respond to any letters, comments, or statements that are pro-gun. They represent King county and that is all. Everyone else can go to h ell as far as they are concerned.
Called yesterday and sent emails to both of mine.

One more supreme court justice; if we only had the senate, house and presidency, ect. ect. ect.
Is a line item veto the answer? What are the positives and negatives?

Those Campfire members with fully functional Senators are more fortunate than those of us in New Mexico.

Both our Senators, Heinrich and Udall, are Ds and unexplainably became deaf when they took office.

We seem to have a similar problem down here.

Geno
Phone calls are worthless here.

We have a red and a blue senator.
Both, represent their party.

Toomey will do what's right. (Mostly, he is a politician)
Casey, a full bore Donkey!
So, why is the Congress funding the infringement of my Second Amendment rights with taxpayer $$....?

Having a hard time getting excited about this.

First line item, more funding for BATFE. Likely every agency in DC is getting more funding now. Maybe they're spending it on Alcohol, Tobacco, or Explosives instead. or new carpeting for the Kansas City office. No specifics on how it might be directed to violating your rights.

Second line item, wtf does that even mean? States can now round people up at gunpoint and force them to go through a NICS check? Doubt it. NICS is NICS, you either have to use it or you don't.

Plus the article doesn't explain how McConnell has anything to do with this House bill.

Seems like a nothingburger minus the bun, but if your dander is up be sure to send NAGR some money, they need better copywriters.
Hell with calling or writing. Did that for quite a while. Woke up one morning and realized the only way to control a mentally ill person who wants to rule his fellows, is to force him into serving those fellows by instilling in him an abject terror of the consequences of not serving those fellows. Fear of the noose or the bullet goes a long way in this regard. The lack of fear creates a false sense of invincibility and engenders bad behavior and sociopathic tendencies. Easily cured by a few hangings...

The gun control people have somehow convinced everyone that the word "infringed" has no meaning at all. It's just a filler, a space. The whole POINT, of ANY gun control, IS, infringement. The idea is to make gun ownership more difficult, to discourage exercising your Constitutional right. We are going to have to fight for the right, now.
