Appears to be a Schmidt- Rubin. I think a 1911. Mebbe one of the earlier converts. Like 89/96. Or 96/11???? Something like that. Not up on them.

This place is like the girl with a curl, when she was good, she was very good, when she was bad, she was very bad.
Finally got the new sled out and took a ride up to the cabin. We could sure use a few feet of fresh snow and a lot less wind, but it's hard to complain about a day in the woods.

You get too much snow, and you'll be hating life with that short track
Interesting photos to look at. What photo hosting sites are you guys using? Are they simple to figure out?

When my sister and I were kids, I would tell her I was writing her name in the toilet every time I took a leak. I was driving through Des Moines at 3 am once and I stopped at her house and pissed her name in the snow right by the porch. She told me that she saw it and laughed and laughed but her husband was all mad. No wonder she left him.

Wow, some great pictures here. But, for some reason, I'm right there. There's birds there.

I always look forward to your/Cookies wildlife photography. I know it’s yours without even checking the username.
Someday I intended to invest in the gear, hours and miles to try my eye at capturing hang-worthy photos.
I know I’m missing the point, but could you share the details on that vintage stove?

I hope Sam's camera is not broke, it's been some time since he's post any pictures. I will say however, you gents are doing very well!
Great Pic, Bruce! Fun day that was, you better come back!
One bit of fallout from this place is, when I'm out with a camera handy, I appreciate what I see all the more.
I do wish, I wish a lot, that I was much better at setting the camera.

Nice --- Not often a person gets an opportunity like that for action shots. I think anyone that plays seriously with a camera has spoken a 2nd or 3rd language at times so Cookie can be easily forgiven.
I'll slip a photography safety tip in here.
When taking a picture of a girl friend, make sure it's your girl friend.
Great Pic, Bruce! Fun day that was, you better come back!
We sure do, Jim. It's been a hard year for me, losing both Rocky and Cookie this fall. They were a good team. He pointed; she retrieved.
Let's wet a fish hook this spring.
L O V E it!!! Pilot & co-pilot... make it pretty special, IMO.
You hang around some real nice places, I see.
Very cool. Thanks for sharing.
A couple from church this morning.
Wabigoon -- neat picture -- I wish I could read sheet music. Musical notes and keeping time are another language to me. I envy those that can.
When I was young, laugh, I took piano lessons, then later trumpet, mid life I again tried a fiddle. I am ever so rudely acquainted with the scales, and notes. Little notes close together means fast, big ones spread far apart means slow.

Love the pictures --- not knowing those fish Brem? -- are they like a perch? White meat and great fried?
Here are a couple of weed seed heads that I had great lighting on and played with the background a bit.
Thanks --- my norm for pictures is nature --- birds, animals, flowers, landscapes etc. Buildings when we are on vacation.
I thought they were fireworks at first glance.

Geez Sal, thats some fishing hole you got. By your pictures, I;d say you're living a charmed life. Nice bear, where'd you get him? Did a brown/goat hunt and never saw one close enough to get on. Did come home with a respectable black.
Last harbor entry to Point Loma sub docks for the USS Redfish SS-395... About April of '68.. I was on the bridge, somewhere, during this event.. The band was waiting on the pier, Navy was in a copter takin' pics and a couple of harbor tugs were givin' us the water canon salute.. 5,000 dives/surfaces on record....and it's the boat I qualified on about two months earlier..
And this one is a sight I'll never forget: Adm. Frank Fletcher, WWII hero... Just by sheer luck I happened to see this unassuming headstone..

It's not easy...or cheap.
You have to go in whole hog to be able to put up these kind of photos.
I've sold my soul to the hunting and fishing gods. 😞
Couldn't have done it without support from my wife and kid.
Got this on my trail cam this summer.
Fantastic shot, wallhanger for sure.
Been using it as my home screen on the computer. Been thinking about getting one of the canvas prints of it done at Costco. Pretty cool shot. I usually get a pic of one each year but that is the first time I have ever seen 2 together and the timing on that pic was nearly perfect.

Cool trophy room. Bet there has been a story or two told within those walls
He was an amazing guy.
We were close friends for 35 years.
He had an amazing Newhouse trap collection.
He knew how to trap and loved it.
His life was pretty remarkable....from huge bucks and bulls to grand slamming sheep to his wild days as a young man.
I was lucky to have him as a close friend for so long.
