A Ukrainian Boeing 737 with 180 people on board has crashed shortly after take off from Iran's main international airport.

The Fars news agency says it came down due to technical problems after leaving the Imam Khomeini airport in Tehran.

There is no word yet on casualties.

An investigation team was at the site of the crash in southwestern outskirts of Tehran, civil aviation spokesman Reza Jafarzadeh said.

The crash came hours after Iran launched a ballistic missile attack targeting two bases in Iraq housing US forces in retaliation for the killing of Revolutionary Guard General Qassem Soleimani.

Sounds like Iran's anti aircraft is good for passenger jets.

I don't think Hunter ever actually went to Ukraine. He was so talented that he didn't need to actually be there to earn his $83K a month. If he had to show up then he would have had to be paid double.

Well that was kind of snide. You don't reckon the Biden's would be dealing with an enemy country? Would you? Even if a lot of money were involved? You have absolutely no evidence of wrongdoing. As Obama once said "not a scintilla".
Would be interesting to know who was in the plane.....
Early reports are often wrong. Early reports from Middle Eastern sources say it was brought down by anti-aircraft fire. We may know more tomorrow.
Just imagine if a bunch of the 'heavies' in Iran were getting their families (or selves) out of town for a while.

That would seem very probable, in the current situation.
