It's anti-American crap like this that keeps me to my 54+ year long policy of NEVER, EVER, even once purchasing a newspaper!
I am now 72+ years old and in my adult life (since I turned 18) I have NEVER purchased a newspaper!
Never have and certainly NEVER will!
For 29 years (age 21 to age 50) of my early adult life I dealt with "newspaper people" (reporters, editors, owners etc) on a professional basis and to a person they were ALL liberal, anti-American intellectually dishonest, intellectual idiots!
And the majority of them were homosexuals.
Sad this.
I have included a link to just more proof of the anti-traditional American values of today's "newspapers"!
The article interestingly also touches on some pertinent social issues.

Do any of you fellow CampFirers buy or subscribe to newsppaers?

NO
Haven’t even seen a newspaper in probably 5 years.
I only needed one to wrap fish guts, and it's been quite a while that a fish needed cleaning around here...
Writing as a conservative in Aspen is like shouting in a blizzard.

Journalism's decline, self-inflicted, continues. And honestly, that's not good for an informed electorate.
Our neighbor takes the local paper, according to her, to give her African Grey parrot something to $hit on. 😁
I grab the freebie paper the Inlander (Spokane's artsy rag paper that wants to be the Seattle Times when it grows up) every week for fire starter.
Broomd: My Elk Hunting partner knows how to "grieve" me!
Every year before we head up to our high country Elk camp he tasks me with going down to our local newspapers office and asking for a stack of old issues for fire starters!
Its a once a week paper and sells for $1.00 per issue on the newstands.
I literally gag when I show up to pick up the papers - that I have him make arrangements for me to pick them up.
As I don't even like to converse with the folks responsible for the "newspaper".
Anyway they are free and when I start fires with them I feel a bit better.

What is a newspaper?
We have a local free paper, and I grab a bunch from time to time for painting, etc....other than that, no papers.

The publisher and his wife have decided that they have to change Spokane to be more like CA. They have essentially taken over the city council and his rag is the bible for a lot of the GU liberal idiots that are around here. The local paper is only good for the crossword puzzles and the comics (although I read most of them on line).
We stayed in Tucson AZ for a month or so some time back, Tucson is the center of the progressive/communist movement in AZ. I read their paper one morning and thought I had landed in Russia.
