Does anyone make jeans-slacks with the waist above the hip anymore? I think our recent low rider fad is caused from men having a gut too big. I am a 28" waist now and would like to be able to wear pants above my hips so I don't have to use a belt.
Check out Dickies 874 "Original Work Pants". Walmart carries them in blue, black, and khaki. You could see if they suit you there and if so, Amazon has them in many more colors.
When I was fat I had to wear the lower pants because my gut would have pushed my jeans down anyway. Now my stomach is smaller than my hips and I would just like to be able to wear jeans without a belt and have them stay in place.
Seriously though wranglers are the only jeans that will stay up as long as they are the right size, but I've been accused of having no ass to speak of.

Problems, problems.........
When I had a 32" waist I wore Dickies work pants for that very reason.

Thank you from a lady who likes to see a man dress like a man, not a woman, and thinks it looks absolutely ridiculous.
High waisted jeans for men in the right fit always look wonderful on a man, and are a pleasure to see on a man.

I guess styles change, but I'm approaching 52 years old and remember how my grandpa dressed. I wish they made jeans like that now,but honestly most of the men I see around here are so fat their jeans have to snap just below the nipples or just below the gut.
As I have been on this weight loss journey it astounds me when I see old movies and see how men have just got fatter over the years. In movies before the 50's only a tiny percentage of men were over weight. Then look at the average weight of military men over the century and it becomes quite revealing that something is wrong with the standard American diet.
Wrangler MWZ. Tractor Supply here always has a good selection. The Wranglers at Walmart arenât the same cut or cloth. MWZâs have a wide zipper tab rather than a narrow one and fit at waistline. Rodeo Originals are great but need to be washed several times to soften up enough to wear. Been wearing them for over 40 years. Always look for the brass rivets on the back pockets and of course the âWâ sewn into same.

Sorry Miss Lynn. Levis are anti-gun and anti hunting. I've been boycotting yhem since the mid 1950's. Why give my enemy my money? Paul B.
Are you still doing the mostly vegetarian diet.....hows it going?
My goal all along has been to learn the healthiest way to eat. I am sort of cycling now between a good bit of healthy meat and lots of vegetables. I have been eating deer meat about twice a week so as to give it time to digest before packing in more. I also eat some tuna, sardines and salmon occasionally.
I'm down to 175 and getting leaner all the time. I have put on about 5 lbs of muscle in the last month though,or at least I am more vascular with abs showing more yet 5 lbs heavier than my low of 170.
I went from a 48-32 jeans to 29-32's now because 29" is the smallest I can find locally. I was 360 at my heaviest but say I lost 160 because I have a 330 doctor documented weight, but I have lost closer to 190-200 lbs in about 18 months. I feel better than I did at 20.
I ride my mountain bike nearly every day at least 3-5 miles and do a 15 mile ride about 2-3 times a week. I'll start another update thread and show some pictures soon, but thanks for asking.
That's a whole different problem. I have been carrying in my coat pocket but I really need some new carry guns and holster rigs. My old IWB carry style with larger guns won't work at all now. I got 4 times smaller. I went from a 4XL shirt to a small. It's just as if all my guns got 4 times bigger, rather than me getting smaller. Kind of weird.
Answered above as you were posting my friend. I will wear a belt a lot of times but it would be nice not to have to always.
Wearing a belt is a small price for always being properly armed. Being trim you should be able to wear a G19 AIWB w/ a polo or camp shirt. You may want to practice your draw w/ an empty gun a few [thousand] times before you start practicing w/ ammo. . Wrangler Pro Rodeos work well.

You can order them from Walmart.com if you want some different colors. I like wearing Dickies in the warmer months. No belt and the pants stay up.

Being as you live in Alabama you should check out VF Outlet stores for Jeans as well as khakis and some bibs. The one I always buy my pants from has the biggest selection of 'cuts' styles and sizes in brand name jeans and best prices I've found around this area on men's clothes.

Hangover from the smokin' days I think. Now the pocket is handy for cough drops and grocery lists.
Too much friggen analysis goin' on around here.
Geno
PS real men wear belts in public.............what else do you use to whoop on some cretin?
Donât old guys just graduate to those blue aviation/lawnmower tech coveralls anyway?
Think I've got one pair of dark blue ones with reflective stripes on it.............used, from a towing company I think. Kinda look like that tow truck guy in Men In Black that the Cockroach in the Edgar suit whacked.
The others are Carhart tan..............use 'em when working on a vehicle so I don't get my fancy Riggs street duds dirty.
Thinking about getting some bibs for around this 7 Acre RANCH of mine though. Could slip the 45 and the .380 in some pockets in case Bigfoot comes out the forest behind the place lookin' for my chickens.
Bonus points for oil field hi viz-FR blue or red coveralls!
Try working in Red Transocean ones out in the Gulf in august and the temp is 95 +p+ humidity about 3000 % and the sea is flat as a mirror. Especially a new set of "fireproofs" that aint been washed about 20 times. Get back to me on it.
I'm going to go for the millennial look this year. Checkered pajamas (sleeping pants) for jeans
Pics or it didnt happen. But ya also gotta be 20 or 30 something and with an elderly mom at wally world groceries shopping. Might be able to get her ta get ya that Halo 4 game too!!!

Fugging people wear their inside pants all over hell now.
I will admit that the young people seem to have popularized the wearing of pajamas outdoors......but the fugging Boomers....seemingly full of disdain for the Millennial crowd......have embraced the sweatpants movement and RUN LIKE HELL with it.

All American Clothing Company Style number AAC101D OR Diamond Gusset. I have worn both since I found out about them a few years ago and both are made here in the good old USA! Levis, Carhartt and the like have all gone down hill, big time!
Nope.... not a resident of that frozen wasteland 5 months outta the year. Declared my independance in writing per unca suga, of that title looooonnnng ago. I'm just a plain ole ugly American and have spread that goodwill. LOL!!! They say I have a accent when I go up their. Well..... Duh.... When ya aint never left Penobscot County and think you will fall off the edge of the planet if you do.
Then everyone has an accent to people like that no matter what state they are from.

I had that when I lived in snow country. I donât anticipate being anywhere cold enough to wear them again. Still have the suspenders but gave the pants to Goodwill.
