I suffer along with all the rest of you good folks. Fever away! laugh
No cabin fever for me this year so far. There is only 8" of snow , it's 30 degrees so the weather has been nice. I shoot my bow in my basement cause I have a 20 yd . range in it , I reload , make patches for my muzzleloader and workout down there. I dont have much work lately though so I am bummed out about that ,
Warm here, trees budding out
My dogs and trail cameras keep me in the woods. Snow is the word to see where game is running. Great season for me.

Weather has been so nice here lately.

Outside literally 7-8 hours a day for the last week.

Glorious face tan for mid January.

I'd rather have snow than this mess

If the ground is frozen you can get out and do stuff

We just have constant 38-41 degree weather with rain - mud is ankle deep.

and it lasts from January to May.
Sam, we need a cowboy tale. Got that cow broke to ride yet? laugh
So where are all the cabin chick pictures?

Lol. Beats jungle fever

Really nice here in the Hill Country. I did a road trip in the Mach 1 yesterday that was perfection.
Spring will arrive right on time. The new windbreak. I need to retire, good night folks.[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]

Glad I'm not the only one. It's about enough to drive a person insane.
I'm just not feeling it yet. Most of it is due to the weather. It's been fairly warm with lots of rain, but plenty of reasonably sunny stuff in between. So far, Cincinnati just hasn't had the miserably bad weather we usually get.

I really never understood snowbirds until the last couple of years. You're just stuck in this crap. I think it does lead to some type of low grade depression, whether you realize it or not.

I don't really want to be in Florida, I just want to be in a dry yard and out doing something.
I'll just throw this in here. The Waterbury clock my grandparents got for their wedding present.[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]

Yep and it's going to be another week before there's even a chance of seeing it. Really depressing.
I like the way they wrap a napkin around the bottom of the hamburger, they’re so nice at that place. Keeps the juices and my lettuce from sliding out.

My folks and my grandfolks on both sides were snowbirds-- picked up from Cincy and relocated to Florida every year. My grandfather started doing it within a few years of arriving in this country-- He'd build houses up here for 3 seasons and then pack the family up and go down to Miami Beach and get some starts under his belt starting about Nov1.

KYHillChick and I have taken a few winter vacations, but we won't start snowbirding until we retire. There is a good reason for me: hypothyroidism. You deplete Thyroid hormones as part of your body trying to deal with cold weather. With someone like me, the Thyroid gets behind and once it does, it stays behind all winter. If I can spend some time down south and not tax my Thyroid, it makes life so much easier. Some people get depressed. I just get absent-minded.
Got a raging case of the frustratrations here. Dealing with a lot right now on top of the usual winter crap.
I like winter, as long as I have things to do outside.
Very little yard work, but chores take several hours a day with the livestock, snow removal etc.
March seems to be when cabin fever bothers some folks the most.
If your are afflicted- go outside and enjoy the winter
Wabigoon: No "cabin fever" for me!
I chase guns (just got back from two gun chasin trips one to the west coast and then another trip to eastern Washington and northern Idaho!).
I ice fish.
I Hunt Coyotes.
I enjoying my trips to the range testing new loads and Rifles for accuracy.
I will be travelling to various snowmobile competitions all winter.
I just got back from a three day trip to "Yellowstone Country" and Yellowstone Park.
Catching up on some handloading.
There is simply "never enough time" in my retirement for all my activities!
Hold into the wind

The weather does not look bad Paul
I live in MAINE so you know what the weather is like this time of the year.

My dog Chase has it figured out, we shoot out of the living room when it stops snowing
300 yard range with steel targets.

Nice whitefish! Do you bake them or fillet and fry?

Ted
I think there is something wrong with your fish Paul.

Might should take it to the vet and get it checked.
Im feeling it. My wife/kids is visiting her family in Arizona for the last two weeks. Its been a high of zero and a low of -25 for almost a month. Its to miserable to go riding snow machine or predator call. Ive done every project I can think of. Went to sportsmans wharehouse to buy bullets to reload and they were sold out. I bought a "cut to fit" butt pad and the damn thing is to small. I even trimmed my wifes dogs nails while it bit the sh it out of me. First time in years I look foreward to just going to work.

It's crazy Richard, but I'll take it.

Minimums of -10* all last week & a half, maximums from there to -1* !

This week, last year, we were in the Caribbean & it was -40* the whole time we were gone.
