What are they? Saw it on menus in Sarasota FL. I usually eat lots of grouper when I am there on vacation, is this some kind of by catch or something I missed?

They are closely related to the triggerfish family, don't get very big, and several varieties are sold in pet stores. I think they're mostly reef fish. Not been high on menus like our larger schooling fish. I think they feed mostly on corals and maybe small shrimps etc. Seems more obscure species are showing up on the platter as other stocks become depleted. One finds things in the stores now that were tossed overboard years back.
