Dad jokes for days!
Hoping for a tie
KC is going to have to outscore the Niner's as I don't think they can stop their running game. As much as I want my Chief's to win, I think the Niner's win in a shootout. 48-42.

Chiefs win, they have Mahomes the best QB
Odds are KC by 1.5
Go Chiefs. At least one point more than Niners.

The Chiefs have no real running game. The Niner's were almost as bad in the regular season but have really ramped it up in the post season. Chiefs still-mediocre defense has stopped two running games in the post-season that they weren't supposed to be able to.
Chiefs 24 SF 10
This is a game I'd like to see both teams lose.
Niners gonna smoke the Chiefs. 27-13.

As much as I like Andy Reid and Pat Mahomes, I don’t think they have the speed to keep up with the SF Defense. I hope I’m wrong. I have been once before.
Cheifs 38. Niners 28
3 2 1......

LOL!!!
Dirty Dan stuffed John Henrys run game against the Titans.KC can stop the run game, I just hope they show up first quarter. Chiefs win but it will be close.

Chiefs 27 Niners 24

Chiefs 27- SF 23
A lot hinges on the defenses.

The niners defensive backs lack the speed to go man on man against KC wide recievers they will need to play zone. Zones have open seams always.
KC wins 38-31

I guess I'd like to see the Chiefs win, but I have a feeling the 9ers are going to be really, really hard to beat. Whoever comes out hot in the first quarter will probably go all the way. Maybe.

If KC still had Kareem Hunt, this would be no contest.
I predict that the first points are scored by a WHITE guy.

If Hunt had been truthful he'd still be on the team. Hard life lesson there.
I'll take KC, still pissed at SF for the Packer game, need redemption......

SF could run all day again, tough and talented all around team....

Hoping for a good game right till the final.

Did you ever figure out the Senate isnt supposed to be tied up doing months of legal investigations to determine if the Articles brought by the House arent investigated before hand?

38-35 Niners win their 6th Superbowl

Book it.
https://www.facebook.com/KansasCityChiefs/videos/1007980389547753/

Here's a cool story to make you pull a little bit for the Chefs

Good luck Melba....
Would like to see Andy Reid win a Super Bowl, but.....

Defense wins championships.

Niners 27, Chiefs 17
Wife is from KC, so I am pretending to be interested in the super bowl.
I am of the opinion that the SF defense will do it's job. And the SF offense that has not really been tested the last couple of games will
be able to take care of business against the KC defense.

With that being said, I would really like to see KC win. Never been a SF or Shanahan (Dad or son) fan.
KC will win unless the SF defense can get to mahomes. Kids a monster and has to be stopped for the 49'ers to win.

Its gonna be a good game that's for sure. I'm rooting for the 9'ers
Gave up on the NFL a few years ago with the kneeling thing.

What I never did understand when I used to watch it, why the hell dont they play that game on Saturday? Seems that would cut down on the number of sick days being used the Monday after.
College is Saturday. NFL sunday.
I want the Chiefs to win, simply because Nancy BOTOX PIGLosi wants a 49er victory.....

Would much rather see a superbowl victory parade in KC rather than in SFO.

Besides. In San Fran, the spectators LITERALLY might step on too much schitt left on the streets there by the homeless....

GO KC!
Offense sells tickets. Defense wins Championships.

SF wins.

.....................Well in my view, this game could go either way and would not be surprised no matter who wins.
Chiefs win by at least 10.

It’s gonna be nice to see that loudmouth Richard Sherman lose another Super Bowl.
That is one of the many reasons that i want KC to win.

It will be epic, you know that they will have cameras on him all of the time.
Hoping for a good game ... and a KC victory.

If it turns into a shootout I don't think another team can hang with KC. If the winning score is over 30 - I doubt it will be San Fran.

I don't look for a complete shootout because I think the defense's are good enough to prevent it. I doubt the winning score is under 30 though.

I hope you're right. I've got my Chiefs pennant from the year they won the big one on display. Got it at a game at the old stadium before Arrowhead was built. My Dad got it for me.
Had an overnight in San Jose, funny how many people are wearing 49ers stuff now that they're actually winning.

Spot on. It will hinge on the SF defense getting to Mahomes from the opening drive.
I hope KC wins, we'll just have to see. I grew up in Missouri, but have been disappointed by the Chiefs often enough to to care too much.

I dont think so, Neal. I hope you're right but I figure 49 defense and run wins it.
KC held the best running back in the league to 66 yards rushing in an AFC Championship game. SF gonna have to throw the ball well if they expect to win.

You aren’t the first. Lol
what home state does the kansas city team claim? Kansas or mo?
Well the stadium is in MO. The metro including KS suburbs all support as well as many who live in KS and work on the MO side.
kinda the way the n.y.giants play in a stadium in nj....but,
in this case...this kansas city team plays in mo. so I guess its safe to say its a mo team.
same question applies to kansas city royals. do they share the same stadium.... making them a mo team?

Kansas, of course. Kansas City. St. Louis has the Missouri team. Or uh, had the Missouri team.

They dont share the same stadium but they are both Missouri teams...as Kansas City is in Missouri
Both stadiums (Kauffman and Arrowhead) are in the same complex off I-70 in MO.
KC buy 9!
My grandson has it right today. He is out in his shop machining a couple of lowers. The kid is getting good and he is only 22.
Watching the pre-game. Liked the Johnny Cash “Ragged Old Flag” tribute.
Tossup..................breaks & turnovers will likely be the difference(s), unless the refs decide to take it upon themselves to take the game away from the players with a lot of non-sense calls.

KC is maybe a but more explosive on offense, SF has the edge on defense if they can keep PH from running around & eventually find open receivers.

As KC takes the lead. You know less about football than you do baseball.
Wooooo
been a good game so far
It’s a shame the refs screwed this one up!
KC's fans own the stadium.
I don't understand how you can score a TD with one foot out of bounds.

Horrible call, IMO.

Andy Reid deserves something good for a change. Mahomes is good but a complete azzwhole.

President Trump should skydive into Kansas City for the victory parade, open his chute to reveal a Chiefs logo and MAGA!

Shanahan's loser interview was classless. Did not congratulate the Chiefs, all woe is me BS.

Very happy I was wrong and the Chiefs won. Really thought the niners had the better team.

Nice hearing people celebrate by shooting fireworks. No rioting, except maybe in he THUG district of KC.

Crabtree's honor? Pffttt
A great friggin’ day for me.

Ordinarily everyone goes over to my ex BiL’s house to watch the game; solid couple, great family. My Ex has been going through turbulent times and had separated from all of us for some years, now she wants to attend but asks that I not be present. No worries, I WANT my Ex to get her head back on straight for our son’s and granddaughter’s sake, I don’t gotta be there.

So I go to drop the grandkid off there to be with her cousins but she doesn’t want to go, she can read between the lines already and feels bad that I can’t be there. So she chooses to spend the afternoon with Grampa instead. Kinda cool when a little kid is concerned about your welfare 😎

Later on by halftime we meet her daddy after he gets out of work and I drop the kid off.

Just then I get a text from Ex-BiL’s missus telling me the coast was now clear and did I want to come over for the second half.

Heck yeah 😎

LOL. Yea....fellow Red Raiders. I still think of Crabtree as the guy that caught the pass to beat Texas. That's what I remember. He messed up his pro career before it even started.

Nobody deserved that schidt that Sherman gave out after that championship game.

The look was priceless.

Thought Sherman's eyes were going to pop out.

I’m happy for K.C.

They deserve the win, they played a hell of a good game and Andy Reid is a damn good coach.

Richard Sherman ain’t chit. An over-rated loudmouth that either gets beat or he gets a PI or hold called because he can’t cover

It was good to see Sherman get his arse handed to him again on coverage. What a clown( former Seahawks and anti military and anti police)

Reid has been a good guy for a long time & I'm glad to see him get the win, not so much with Mahomes, though he's undoubtedly a great talent.

Shanahan lost the game for his team (as he did vs Baltimore, Seattle & Atlanta) by not being able to adjust his defensive plan for mobile QB's................a 4 man rush, with 7 pass defenders doesn't make as has been shown over & over when a mobile QB runs around for 10-15 seconds, DB cannot cover good receivers for that long, given the rules, so someone inevitably comes open. And Mahomes is plenty good to find them at least 2/3 of the time.

Lack of & aversion to blitzing & lack of getting to Mahomes enough, beat SF...................5, or sometimes 6 good blockers beats 4 rushers most of the time. And it did.

If you are going to blitz you have to be able to cover man man. I posted before the game the the 49ers DB could not cover KC WR one on one. The 4 man rush and 7 man zone worked well and in the 4th when the niners went man Mahomes burned them with deep throws

True....................but SF really never blitzed & put much real pressure on Mahomes when they did play MtM on the deeper patterns. My point was that you simply cannot consistently give a guy like Mahomes as much time as he got most of the time, either playing zone or MtM.

He'll kill ya, & he did. I can't stand the guy, but he's got as good an arm as I've seen in a really long time. Reminds me of a more mobile Dan Marino.

Ya think Trump has figured out the KC Chiefs are from Missouri not Kansas yet?

I thought they did put pressure on Mahomes which lead to 2 ints.
No reason tlay man to man if you're aren't blitzing which they did, but you can be burned when you blitz and they were burned

What’s the opposition to Mahomes? Pro cop. Pro veteran. Charity work. Works with special needs kids. Always deflects praise away from himself and puts it on his team mates.

I’m fine with not liking him “just because” though.

I don't know about that, they only had that 1 deep pass to Hill all game and hill absolutely turned that defender around but SF definitely screwed the pooch on that play.

You are correct Sir!
Like him or hate him, Mahomes is THE man and probably will pull down close to $200 mil next contract.
It was so gratifying to see Richard Sherman doing his Impression of Charles Dimry!

And good luck keeping the team together when you can't pay other stars what they feel they are worth. See that happen too many times over the years.
Mahomes already has made statements regarding his new contract and feels it is best to keep the team together by assuring a contract that won’t bust caps and is fair to all his players. In other words he’s not being greedy. I assume he will land a $25M/year deal. Russell gets $34M/year; Rogers gets $33.5M/year. There’s others in the lower 30s and upper 20s.

I'll bet they work the cap to give him $40,000,000 per year for 5 years. I hope he gets it.

I'm thinking 40 with at least a 6 yr contract. It will be very difficult to keep the speedsters. Was it Watkins that already realizes and said he may sit out next year?? He wasn't being an azzhole about it....just kind of reflecting.
I try to stay off the Mahomes wagon but it is really hard to do. He is a very good quarterback obviously. He seems to be well grounded and works hard at his craft. But more and more I hear stories of things he does off the field and they are all very good.

Had a girl local to were I live diagnosed with a rare and fatal cancer of the brain stem. She was at the Chiefs practice in St Joseph Mo. Mahomes talked with her and spent time with her. He ended up getting 2 of the Rubber wrist bands with her name on them. He was wearing them last night. She passed away this fall but I bet her parents were thrilled to see him hoisting that trophy with her wrist brand on.

Another story was he and his girlfriend went to eat at a local pizza joint. No one bothered them as they were eating even though they knew who he was. When he went to leave he thanked all the patrons for letting him and his girl have a regular meal and not bothering them. He picked up everyones tab in the place. So while I can understand getting sick of all the hype surrounding him because I get sick of it also. He has shown so far to be humble and thankful for what his god given talents have brought him. Hope he stays that away.

A retired Texas Tech tennis coach here in Lubbock has a son that suffered a brain injury in a golf cart accident. He started a foundation to raise funds for families of kids with brain injuries and "sold" wrist bands to raise funds. Mahomes has worn a Team Luke bracelet in all games...along with other bracelets. When Mahomes' bracelet broke during the Patriots game, he called the coach for replacement so he could keep wearing it....and wore it when he played in the Super Bowl. He's a good dude through and through. I've also read about the girl with cancer and Mahomes wearing her bracelet. Pretty cool...and it helps the cause.
i think he well, appears he was raised right.
A clothing mishap would have been appreciated by most fans, and why is it we never get to watch the cheerleaders anymore?

Amazing how many here know so much more about football than Shanahan... Maybe y'all should get your resumes out there.

If it turns into a shootout I don't think another team can hang with KC. If the winning score is over 30 - I doubt it will be San Fran.
I don't look for a complete shootout because I think the defense's are good enough to prevent it. I doubt the winning score is under 30 though.

Hey Ethan- looks I nailed it!!!!!!

Think your point was more or less true too- I wouldn't exactly say it was a shoot out. Defenses were good but there ain't one that can stop KC for a full 4 qtrs.

While he's forgotten more in an hour than any of us will ever know, his acumen (ie pucker factor) in not keeping the-main-thing the main thing is not above questioning.

In two SB's his teams have been outscored 46-0 in the 4th quarter. eek

Semi-shootout. A friend of mine said it took three quarters to wear down and figure out the Niner's defense and then it was on. You could also say the Chiefs wore out the Offense and then the D stepped up and made the plays they needed to.

The Chiefs non-existent running game also came through. The stats tell the tale. The Chiefs simply outdid the opposition in every category including running. Williams outdid Mostert and that was one of the keys. You just can't overstate the little things like that block FB Anthony Sherman threw late in the game. Just an awesome team effort. Reid and Mahomes leaders in every sense supported fully by the front office.

As Clark Hunt said (to paraphrase), "thank the Lord,".
Let me get this straight, the guy throws 2 interceptions and gets voted MVP? Give it to the defense!!!

Smart - all you have to do is look how many times Rogers had to pick himself up off the grass this year to see it ain't a bad idea to save a few bucks for a good offensive line and somebody to through the ball to.

Well, he might have run for a touchdown and thrown for two more. Just maybe. One could say he accounted for roughly as many points of offense necessary to cover the entire defensive team's points allowed.

It's a team game, but Mahomes is one of the better players on the team, I would say.

The guy is 40, and coached in the Super Bowl with a team that won 4 games last year, 6 games the year before, and 2 the year before that.

I believe he was coaching in the NFL when he was 27. So, yep, he does know football.
