Took my brother's Labs for a romp and came up with some sheds on a farm I purchased in 2019. Found a couple in a ag field, probably prevented some tractor or implement tire punctures.

Now that the snow depth is shrinking, I will be out looking for more.

I'm gonna train the new dog to do that, looks like a lot of fun to be had.

too cool, they are finally starting to drop down here

I'd love to get my dog doing this but we just run across too many snakes, even this time of year.

Within a few weeks the bull elk will be finished dropping theirs - probably too heavy for even one of those fine dogs to drag very far. Folks who hunt for them up here are wise to check out fence jumps on well-used elk trails as well as places where they water. Seems not unusual for them to find a matching pair at such locations.

We were visiting mom and dad in Eastern Washington last week and I spotted a deer skylined on a ridge on their property. I threw my binoculars on it and saw one laying down between the sage but the guy standing up still had his antlers. He was a nice 4x4 (8pt...😁) and I was surprised that he was still sporting his head gear.

She’d hunt is cool. Getting into the winter range around the elk feeding stations can be like hitting the jackpot but they don’t open until April for shed hunting.

Roundoak that four pointer is a hog! I pick up a lot of moose and elk bone but deer are a rarity in my neighborhood. Always psyched to find deer horn.

I’ve been hitting the local moose beds while waiting for April to arrive and the elk to leave me presents.
