Not much snow,...but maybe enough to watch as it blows by the big window beside my recliner.

In any event,..the Bradford Pears I've been cutting are giving my propane take a break.

,....... got a big pile of sticks accumulated,...fireplace has been going all day,..and I'm sippin' on a toddy.

Life feels exceptionally tolerable at the moment.
Sitting in front of a fire, while its snowing, burning wood you cut and hauled is sublime.
I hate you you toddy drinking fool...
Just pollen falling here today.
It stops raining and the pollen kicks in before the windshield is dry. Nothing like looking at the world through a jaundice colored windshield...
Sounds like a good evening!!!

We've had plenty of pollen also,...and actually, the snow they're talking about isn't supposed to amount to much. But It's a bit chilly and I'd like to get through the winter without buying any more propane.

So I'm going to work the woodpile extra hard for the next few days.
Enjoy the evening friend, nothing else quite like a nice wood fire.
Supposed to get a little dicey around these parts tomorrow.
We may only see 4-5 inches, but one area North of here could 3-4 ft,now that's a storm...
I find a wood fire comforting myself. It's 24* and snowing with 40-50 mph winds here right now. Got a fire in the woodstove and a bowl of Breyers cookie dough gelato in my hand. Life is good except I've got to get up and go to work in the morning.
I gave up on work here while back.

I don't miss it.
78 here...had the AC on for the drive home

post a pitcher, man!

how long do you have to let the pear wood sit before you can burn it?
My pic downloader doo-dad doesn't work on this computer.

As for the bradford Pear wood,.....I don't know. Some of it was cut a year ago,...some of it was cut 6 months ago.

I burn it all.

There's also some Hawthorn in there.
I was hoping as it was 27 this AM. I headed to the range well wrapped and about boiled when we hit 65 five hours later. We are supposed to be in the high 70's come Sunday. I think I have lighted the insert maybe a half dozen times this winter. I do miss it...
Nothing like having plenty of wood and a big fire on a Winter's night.
Screw that wood cutting - I got gas. Now.

Push a button, and I have fire! 'Sposed to snow again this weekend.

-4 this morning, got all the way up to 20 this afternoon. Clear and calm. Pretty day.
down to last half cord of aspen, makes a quick easy fire for entertainment. 2 cords of oak seasoning right now under a tarp, be ready to go next fall.

We've used 1-1/2 #100 tanks all winter. I'm liking these mild winters, just hoping that we don't get hammered in March and early April.
