Now how the hell do they know exactly one person in the Congo has it?
Posted By: stevelyn Re: Covid 19 map - 03/13/20
It's not like they weren't trying. They insisted on landing the first China evac flight in skAnchorage.

Of course that could all change with the upcoming commercial fishing season. DSMFs coming up from contaminated areas (mainly WA & OR) with their boats and crews and the processors/canneries hiring third-worlders.

Then there's the bio-hazard barges aka as cruise ships bringing up craploads of people to spread the disease not only in the ports, but along the rail system.

They probably read it on the innanet.

Alabama will probably go from 0 to 60 in 4.2 seconds

Your local sheriff should be fired for misleading the public trust. They are wrong.

Here's the same map but a better URL: https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/map.html

That map is wrong. There are tens of thousands or more in every state.

Depends on which channel you watch.

I just turned on the tv, and saw that there were 16000 confirmed cases in the US.

Flipped to another channel to hear a woman say there were over 100000 cases in Ohio.

I don’t know a lot, but can operate a calculator.

Naturally states having more cattle than people will have fewer cases than densely populated ones, but don't worry soon it will be in every state. Comin' to your Hood soon.

Such a bunch of BS.

Alabama confirmed their first two cases today. Two at the University of Alabama Huntsville campus. After this UAH shut down to online courses only. Auburn University shut down until April 10th with online courses only. They will determine what happens by April 10th to continue. Students on Spring Break were told not to return to campus but go home. Auburn University has over 1,000 Chinese students and researchers and they can't go home. Alabama also said if you are returning from an area where the virus is located out of state they want you to not go back to school or work until you stay home for two weeks. Trying to keep it out of the state and like at Huntsville, all public schools closed today and kids were sent home.

No confirmed cases in Montana.

Friend just texted me the shelves are bare at the Costco in Kalispell.

these maps, if reported correctly, can only show those that have been tested and found positive. no corona, no finding, and no testing, no finding.

Idaho is surrounded by MT and WY on the east, both with only 1 bug between them and that one a long way from the ID border. On the west, OR and WA have most of their cases on the coast. The eastern part of both states is thousands of square miles of largely empty land and Trump voters. The one exception is Spokane. The bug there could easily ooze over the border to Coeur d'Alene. On the south, there's a lot of desert before you get to Salt Lake and only a few very small towns in northern NV. We're pretty well isolated as long as some travelers don't dump their goods here.

For the record, CWD has never been found here, either.

AK has its 1st case in Anchorage today. The virus free states are down to ID, MT, WV, and AL.

The State of Excellence would like to report in as Coronavirus Free.

Even under non-epidemic conditions we probably drink more creek and lake water than bottled and tap combined and are equally adept at hygenic elimination with minimal paper supplies, so are projecting no lifestyle impingements in the near future.

Now,,,,who the hell would have ever thought that cattle was an antidote ??

Lots to learn here.
Posted By: Bristoe Re: Covid 19 map - 03/13/20
I have to say,....I'm satisfied with Kentucky's response. The people in charge of such things identified the first case reasonably early and have been conducting ongoing, daily tests on everybody that has had any connection to those who have been in contact with them. It's up to 11 here now,...statewide.

I'm sure the total will go up because of the number of tests being done. But it appears that Kentucky got in front of it before it ran through the state.

Take the reported positives and multiply it by 100x,maybe 1000x for true positives.
