Until the Fall?
Thinking the virus will take a bigger toll on urban areas of Dem support.
Executive order, this is no time to be counting!
Constitutionally, yes. It only has to be done this year. Whether a delay is practical is another matter. There are many thousands of people hired to do it and putting off might be a strategic nightmare.
Rhetorical question.
And wishful thinking on my part.
I did mine online yesterday.
Got letter from census bureau with login info. It was fast and painless.
Doing it now is less stupid than allowing early voting in elections.
Just did mine! White & American!

We did ours too!

Haven't seen mine yet - but it'll be '2 people here'.... And nothing further..
Nyrifleman: To late - already complied.
Hold into the wind

P.S.: And by the way "I" lied BIG TIME - trying to get a second "congressman" from Montana - seems I have 27 (twenty seven) children!

I'll have to ask my wives if we have done ours yet. All 27 wives have 27 children.
Hey, I ain't Solomon - but I bet he never knew when to pull out either...
Yes - ours will be number and race, nothing more If I do it. Unless I count the dogs.
Seriously, the illegals should be counted, then disallowed from counting toward Representative numbers. I saw somewhere that CA alone would likely lose 5. Too many of the vermin in DC as it is.
Varmint,
Since I live in a blue state I was considering the opposite.
No children, live by myself!
I just did mine online. Fugkin question for race I marked "white" and hit submit.... got an error, they want you to put in if you're german, french, etc.... I typed "American" and hit submit and it took it. That's what everyone should do.

Funny, that is exactly what I did too, yesterday. miles

Me too. They don't know the difference between race and nationality.
Old,....Male,.....Caucasian,....too old to add to the census,....go away.
It's been at least 30 years since a fertile woman wanted to fug me.
I'm no threat to the census.
"Just me,...my wife,..and 47 illegals living in the garage".

I have always used Caucasian.

Did mine this evening and it was fast and painless too.
Did mine last night. I found it interesting that they asked what kind of white non-Hispanic I was. They suggested, German, Irish, French Italian, etc. I put down American.
Just one caveat - do NOT lie on the survey; they can then fine you $500.. But NOT filling it out completely is only a $100 fine...
That's what I do - tell 'em "two people live here"... When they threaten with the fine I just ask them to provide me with the address to send the check to... And I never hear from 'em again..
Did mine on the paper form, it has the same "German, Italian..." answer prompt for nationality. American isn't listed, I wrote American

Same here. Took 10 minutes
Everybody should put "mixed race" on the census form.
It's true & it fscks with the race engineers.
There wasn't enough room for English-Swedish mix :-)
I have a serious question - since I've not received mine yet and will only do the paper thing... for those of you who did it online, would it allow you to ONLY answer 'how many people live here?' or won't it allow you to send it w/o full information on every line??
I believe I will just write "2 US Citizens live here" with a pen and send it back.
Census field work has been postponed until April 1st.
Not everyone has received the questionnaire by mail, some are dropped off by census employees.
I believe I will just write "2 US Citizens live here" with a pen and send it back.
That's exactly what I do, but I was questioning the online process; whether it will let you submit it w/o every line filled in..
Stepping away for a moment from the serious discussion of the threat posed by the government's intrusion into our lives, I would offer the following lighthearted story.
My small hometown once thought that it would benefit from a special census as there had been a relatively significant spike in the town's population, which could result in getting more of other people's money. My mother was one of those selected to go door-to-door and re-canvas. She set out on foot, dutifully intruding upon the lives of her fellow citizens, all of whom treated her with respect. When she got to Buckley P.'s house, she was welcomed in by Buckley and his wife. While going over the forms, Buckley brought out some of his homemade wine for her appraisal. After completing her survey, made longer by the normal socialization of small town life, Mom went on her way. At her next stop, she rang the bell, and when it was answered, she gave her prescribed introduction - "Hi, you know me. I'm here to help you with our town's special census, etc." When she finished, the kind lady said, "Edna, you were here two hours ago." Mom went home and took a nap.

No, to do it online there are a few other questions you have to answer to complete it.

No, to do it online there are a few other questions you have to answer to complete it.
Questions are roughly:
How many live in the houshold:
- First Middle Last names of each
- Birthdays of each
- Relationship (spouse, child, etc.)
- Race (with an entry field to further specify the race/heritage)
- Ownership of home (outright own / or mortgage) / Rent
- Do you expect to still live there by April 1
- Are there any second home addresses you substantially live at besides your primary address
- Phone number of person filling out form in case they want clarification on something
I don't remember any others, but there might have been a few I don't recollect.

YES. The 1st try will bring the question up again. The 2d try will send it to the next question.
I know a lot of people don't like a census but consider:
the constitution requires it every 10 years
it's used to determine your representation in congress. Your accurate response just might get you another congressman if your state has enough people this time around to take a seat away from another state.
your state uses it to set your state legislative districts.
Not answering only hurts you in determining who you can elect.
Did mine last night. I found it interesting that they asked what kind of white non-Hispanic I was. They suggested, German, Irish, French Italian, etc. I put down American.
Did mine last night too, on-line....and in Spanish just to [bleep] with them. Made sure to tell them there were no hispanics living here...

I left it blank. It asked again and I left it blank again. Then it went on to the next question.
It's too bad that they don't print the forms on tinfoil.

Good info. I didn't try to submit it twice.
I know I tried to submit it without my phone number but it didn't take it, wish I would have tried again before putting it in.
I"m sure they already have your phone number anyway but if you skip it they have to look you up.
Well, I finally got the letter.. Logged on, verified the address, filled out 'two' people live here and skipped/ignored the rest.. Sent it in... I'm surprised it actually let me do that.. I was all prepared to log off and wait for the paper item to arrive... Whole thing took about 2 minutes...
