This is a story so grim, you may want not to read any further.
It started off, my left hand was so cold. It felt as though the fingers of death were creeping through my hand.
Then, unbelievably, my hand had moisture on it. Evidently, it was sweating. My ice cold hand was sweating!

And yet, the right hand had no symptoms. I knew I was in the grip of evil.

Some more minutes of horror passed, I felt dizzy, it felt as though the room was spinning. Honestly, I felt disoriented.

I looked up the CDC Hot Line, and I was starting to dial the number, with my right hand only, my left hand felt numb.

But then, I just drank another one, and went to bed.

Why do you idiots continue to make fun of a situation where MILLIONS of people are losing their jobs? Literally thousand of SMB's (that is, "Small and Medium Business" Simon, since I see you are from NC) will go BK.

It's really not endearing, or cute, or funny.

Kinda just keep scratching my head here.

You've had a hard lesson in the concept of yin and yang.

All things must exist in balance. If you have a beer in one hand and the other is empty the your chi is out of balance and bad things happen. Since this virus originated in the Orient then it's even more important that you keep you yin and your yang balanced.

The cure is obvious, put a beer in the other hand too.
Posted By: hanco Re: My Struggle With the Corona - 03/19/20
I’ve never tried a beer in each hand before!
Jim Conrad: Every car, every Hunting camp and every room in my house where I sip beer/cold pops has ample amounts of "coozies" - maybe it never gets hot where you live?
Regarding beer and carbonated beverages, if it ain't icy cold, I don't drink it.
Hold into the wind

Same. Never found the need as beer is usually gone by the time it would have been warm.

Jesus, where do you people come from?

This will pass. 75 years ago in the middle of MUCH worse times (WWII) people made time to have fun, laugh and joke. It's called living and not giving into fear. I'll guarantee that there were a lot of jokes being told on the amphibs up until the ramps dropped on Omaha Beach on D-day, it's how humans release stress. Name any time in human history before the industrial revolution and people's day to day existence was more perilous than modern people in the middle of a virus hot zone.

I'm in Japan right now, yesterday I was in China and Korea, the day before I was in China again and Singapore. Guess what people there are doing? They're joking and cutting up just like they always have. The little Chinese agent that came on our plane laughed and giggled like a school girl at all my dumb jokes, they're not walking around in a depression. I asked her how things were going with the virus there (Shenzhen) and she said the worst looks to be over and things are starting to get back to normal. We in the U.S. are probably a month or so in the cycle behind them.

This isn't the end of the world, lighten up.

I am from Colorado. I have 2 family members sick with it, a nursing home a mile away where it's taking off like a wildfire, and I was exposed to it at work a week ago. My mother is 68 and runs a clinic for under served kids and she's in the crosshairs.

I am a compassionate human being. I don't appreciate the "let's live and have humor like in WWII" - it is highly disingenuous. The OP wasn't making posts about Rosie Fuggin O'Donnell. I doubt folks back then were joking about the battle of the bulge, or cracking jokes about the ships sunk in Pearl Harbor.

Just have some class, FFS.

It looks like maybe he wants some cheese with that whine. I recommend limburger!

We need some remedial imbibing classes around here. crazy
Duck - I pray your family members get through this fine.

I think that people don’t know how to react to the un known & un seen - but that gets a hell of a lot different fast when your loved ones get sick.

Chit, I have been here longer than you. I am personal friends with folks here that are long gone and retired from this place and want nothing to do with it because of posts like this. One, who I work and hunt with, folks here think his is dead and he is OK with that. I've sold and bought countless items on the classifieds for thousand of dollars, given away many items to needy youth here. So, pizz off.

I hunt, reload, shoot, cuss, and participate in good hearted debauchery as much as the next guy.

But the reality is, we can argue about the virus all day long... however, peoples live are being ruined and thousands upon thousands of business owners will be BK.

Again, have a little class.

I am using satire to point out that the media is exaggerating the magnitude of the problem. A demented media is, in part because they love grim stories, and in part because they want to get rid of Trump, is blowing this way out of proportion.
And many members of this forum are buying this crap.

for those like like 'em....... grin

Take a deep breath and relax a bit. We saw the need for humor during WWII, and some see the need now. I agree this is a bad time for us all, but we can smile a bit, also.

Math will tell you, that if your beer is to cold to hold, it is to cold.

& he'd be correct !

Ice cold is for cheap, domestic pi$$, after you have finished mowing the lawn.

Never wanted a cold sore that bad.
Humor is very important when times get really bad.
Like when our boys defending Wake Island and were asked if they needed anything.

Lighten up Francis, there's enough stress going on in this world, a little humor never hurt anybody.

There's a few on here who look down and see the schietts in their shoes and shirts and pants and it doesnt faze them a bit, and I'm not referring to the OP or duck.
