As many of you know, I've been a volunteer moderator at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology's live raptor web-cam program for about 7-8 years now. We have several nest cams, with the red tailed hawks, american kestrels, and osprey nest being the most popular. Each cam is operated remotely by volunteers and includes a live twitter feed for educational purposed and, for the red tail cam, a live chat function. Estimates are hard to pin down across platforms, but we think the program has educated over 40 million people in 60+ countries on raptor biology, including many primary school science classes. The 2020 season is in full swing and cams are up and running! With all the schools closed, this can be a great interactive learning mechanism and we'd love to have you stop by!
