Well like the title says, tell us about your avatar pic. I'll start. Mines simple, its just an Alaskan flag logo I found after constantly searching on the internet for something to fit in the allowable size for this site. How about you? And the for the guys who don't have one, [bleep] off.
Feet wet south of Da Nang about 1968.
Oink..
When I used to do modeling
Just one of Cookie's many shots. A 5 x 7. Same buck in early evening, but different angle. Avatar dimensions cannot do justice to fine pictures.

A couple of Cookie's buddies spotted this guy and spent about 6 hours waiting for him to venture out of a willow thicket. Only saw him for one season.
Deer I shot with a TC Hawken Silver Elite about 20 yrs ago
I have a nice (non-pink) quilt provided free by the wonderful owner of this site.

Just me at the office.
I didn't know you had a corner office....

dude,

if you look at yours long enough does it start spinning like mine does.

If so, it may not be a flashback. Just one of them optical illusions.

PS I'm going to print that out and show it to the neighbor's dog when it comes charging out barking. Maybe I can shock it into running around chasing its shadow.

I've always loved the P-47, affectionately know as The Jug. There's just something special about a gigantic engine with 6 to 8 .50 caliber machine guns hanging off it. A real shot and a beer kind of gunfighter.
I don't know what to say.
My favorite type of hunting
Random image plucked from the internet.
Mine is the Bonnie Blue flag. The flag of the Republic of West Florida in 1810, and one of the first flags of the Confederacy.
Mine is the handoff for a 560 pound bench press. I missed it, but not by much. Lifted my butt. Got 530 that day. I called for 555, they loaded 560. I think 555 would have gone. That's the story.

Rick was nice enough to knit this coaster, so I felt compelled to use it.
I knew I wanted a new avatar during those first few glorious days we knew Hitlery was not going to be POTUS #45. I think the meaning is obvious.
Kiko buck we picked up as a yearling from a group of purebred Kiko's that had been left abandoned for 2 years, left to survive on their own....lots of bones laying around the lot of ones that had died. Survival of the fittest and he was FIT. The picture is after he'd been on our place for a couple of years. Most of the does we're running now are out of him and the genetics are strong. I think he was close to 275 lbs as a 4 year old. Never aggressive towards people but he was hard to handle when worming....that much weight, low center of gravity, and full time 4 wheel drive is a handful.
A collector wanted Charlie and I, at Twin Blades, to make what we thought a push dagger should be. Charlie (348srfun) made the blade that screws into the handle I made.

WDH:
Good day to you sir, I hope that you and yours are weathering this current storm in an acceptable manner.

Thanks for the thread, we've gone a fair chunk of time since the last one like this - I think?

Mine is our 2 daughters with their first bucks which were taken within 20 yards and about 20 seconds of each other.

In a lifetime of hunting that day afield surpasses any deer, bear, moose or sheep that I've been blessed to take. Honestly it beats them all combined - you know?

My late father had told me it'd be that way and even though he wasn't around for it in person, once again his wisdom was spot on.

Anyway sir, that's mine.

All the best to you all. Stay well.

Dwayne

this pic isn't my avaitor.....just another Marlin on a nearby range fence post

the avaitor requires a really small pic.......as with the Marlin 44 on a fence this cedar post behind house

The day I took the oldest son on his first pheasant hunt with our two labs. He was pretty excited when he shot his first bird but not half as excited as I was! smile
Pinnacle of hunting for me. Took 3 trips to put my crosshairs on one.
My heeler that passed several years ago, Peyton. Most heelers are remarkable but this one had two days that were special.

He was very afraid of lightning but during an electrical storm on Pikes Peak he charged back up above treeline, despite his own fear, to 'herd' the slow hikers down.
During a drought in Kansas a corporate convoy was departing one of the only huntable fields. Their guide/handler said 'Don't even bother, We just covered that field with the best dogs in the country." Peyton put up 2 roosters from that field and I made the shots.
My avatar is of Rica, my first GWP on a grouse hunt on the North Kaibab in 2006. Good memory of a good companion.

LMAO!

Stole it off the innernet.
2018, my son and I did an outfitter drop camp in SW Colorado.
I chose the baseball from the available options when the quilters took over. The dinosaur does not know how to create one from outside.
Mine pretty much explains itself.

I think I could have picked a shell with a cleaner base but this one does have character.
Best buck to date, circa 2015

Some great pics guys!!!
My first and only Mule Deer, taken in Southern WY. A long stalk that ended when my hunting buddy and I took two bucks that were sleeping in the sun after a busy morning of taking care of the ladies. Couldn't hardly wake them up. Buddy shot his while he was in his bed, I took this one as he got up. The entire shoot took about 4 seconds.
Celtic cross I dug up on the internet, a small testimony of my own beliefs and an homage to my Scottish and Irish ancestors.
I wrote my name on my truck so I'd know it was mine. Also, I kan't spill goud.
Favorite bird to watch. These swallow-tailed kites catch bugs on the wing and can they ever fly. Kind of rare too.
I chose the famous artwork "Cow Eating Grass" since I like the idyllic setting.
A picture of a Savage 1899 I have that has a factory original Birds Eye Maple stock tucked in a Caribou's antler I shot up near the Hudson Bay in Canada. (With a different gun)

Never had one until Rick did his update. Now I have a cute quilt.
USAF Master Flight Engineer wing insignia.
It's a painting by Charles M. Russell entitled "Cowboys around the Campfire at Night".

If you look closely you'll see a bunch of cowboys smoking and drinking coffee after a supper of bacon and beans. It's an homage to friendly campfires everywhere.

Sounds like a special dog, if you’re lucky to have one, you never forget what they could do. 😎
Mine is a photo of a Pachmayr Signature model 1911 made in the mid 1970's. I started working with them on this model a few months later. It still shoots under an inch at 25 yards.

If corona was good, they wouldnt need a lime to make it consumable! But free well thats always good! You get that light snow this morning, like we recieved!
Ten inch billy I killed in '05. Was stalking another when we saw him, but he's already seen us. Left my guide friend there and ducked back out of sight. I climbed so hard, I about puked twice. When I popped up to see he wasn't where he had been. He was bedded at about 30 yards. I shot as he stood and he rolled like a sack of potatoes for 1000 yards to where the picture was taken. Wish I could hunt the alpine every year. It would help keep me in shape.

Just a few minutes ago. And it just melted off and watered the lawn again. And the chicken coop, and the sagebrush, and the unsplit firewood.

But, like you, such is life this time of year. Everything gets wet, then dry, then wet, all in the course of an hour or so.

Thought I might go out and finish up a little garden fence, but I'm retired and can wait until Thurs when the sun comes out again. No need to work in the cold and damp when the boss doesn't require it............and I'm the boss.

Rock chucks are yellow bellied marmots, the western version of the ground hog or wood chuck. There are LOTS of them here and they make for great spring shooting. My pic is one of them.
Saint Michael. We had one on a challenge coin we had when I was still active LE which I really liked, my avatar was the closest I could find. Reminds me of the grim reaper though, lol!
I heard feet scampering on my long deck. I moved some junk to narrow down his path. I put a trap in the path.
