In the spirit of wabi... What is this? Some sort of vetch?

Clover is going to be thick this year. Wouldn't mind some vetch. Maybe it will go to seed and cows will spread it around.

state in mexico , there use to be grass called that back in the 70s.

Common name is Cow Vetch. Not a native plant. Gets blueish to purple flowers.

Weeds of the West has a picture.

Looks similar to hairy vetch. When it flowers tell us what color they are.

As Jim says, undoubtedly a legume of some sort.

If that's vetch, it seems to be pretty good for your soil:
