I always felt sorry for those poor bastards that they played against, the Washington Generals. I wondered why they were always white, never a black dude on the other team.

Saw them at the SF Cow Palace many times as a kid in the 70's when I lived in Santa Rosa and Napa

IMHO, Curly and Meadowlark WERE the Globetrotters.

lol....I thought about that as well.

The Globetrotters really were/re a lot of fun to watch. A bit of Americana from the uniforms right down to their most excellent implementation of a business idea!
