Beautiful! We usually come out for a couple weeks this time of the year for springtime. Unfortunately, had to cancel this year. Thanks for posting!
Nice pictures. I'm guessing you were at 4000' or more?
I think the highest I was, was right at around 3,000. That orange-ish plant wasn't yet blooming up high, had to get down closer to 2,000 to see them.

globemallow
lots of California poppies too.
see any snakes?
No snakes, can't recall the last time I saw a snake out hiking to be honest. Not complaining though.
Nice break from doom and gloom
Thank you
Take some more when you get time.
Those are Big Bend/Havard/Chisos Bluebonnets in your second picture.
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
Great pictures! It's warmed up enough this past week that most of the snow melted off the south facing slope next to my back yard and several very brave Crocus have pushed up and bloomed.
Good job. I've never hit that country during the spring. Need to wait for a good moisture year and run down that way for about a month some time.
I sure miss AZ.
The wildflowers and the ones in our beds have put up greenery but no blooms yet. I guess the 17F nights are keeping them down. Soon though, the daffy's have buds on them.
Was a nice cloudy warm 32F this morning, so there's a possibility for blooming in the near future. Nothing in this sagebrush compares to a desert bloom.

I love those little places in the Sonoran, quiet little chapels.
