... on my way to another state. Just in and out the opposite side. Maybe stop for gas a couple of times. And then gone. Not going to stay.

Is Texas going to make me check into a motel for 14 days half way across?
What's your sex and measurements?
you ever see midnight express? imagine that and add cowboy hats

Those aren't going to get me far.

But if they'll let me park at a Buc-ee's for the whole two weeks at least I can get food and beer while I'm waiting. Their toilets are nice too.
If you car has New York plates, somebody would tag you with an RPG 15 miles past the Arkansas state line.

Depends on what state you’re from, what tags your vehicle has.
Every person here has several guns. Infants too!
Only one way to tell for sure...….if you stayed on the Interstate, stopped at Bucees and kept moving I don't think you'd have a problem...….or get one of those pieces of paper that states "you're vital to the infrastructure of the state" like my boss gave me.

You must get good mileage.
It's a long way across Texas.

It's much longer if you have NY license plates on your car, about now.

I think the song is by Asleep at the Wheel, but the lyric is, “ I saw miles and miles of Texas.” Think of it every time I drive between Colorado and Mississippi.
Something like 860 miles I think
Mount some horns and your car, and you'll blend in

Is that it?

Why would you need to stop?
All Interstate highways should be shut down to civilian travel at state lines, only commercial travel.

No joy riding and spreading that [bleep]..

What about cartel routes?
Take I40 from Raton and cross Panhandle area on to Oklahoma. Speed limit out there is 85...pass thru quickly and might get away w it!
Want to? you deserve whatever happens, unless you are headed west.

Fortune favors the bold, alternate routes are possible but a sense of adventure is its' own reward.grin
Driving across texas is equivalent to reading Chaucer for fun.

Is there a sign that says "thank you for visiting Texas" as you cross out?

But,
Given that Texas is the heart that pumps life giving oil into the rest of America,
You are probably better off saying you just wanted to come to Texas to fill your tank...

Umm No it’s not. 75 mph.

And TX DPS is patrolling all entry’s for NY, LA, CA, FL, and GA plates. And probably a few more. And them boys don’t play. 🤠

I damn sure wouldn’t want to risk spending at least 14 days or more quarantined in some flea bag motel.
Keep your eyes on the road, your windows rolled up, and don't stop for anything!
