Ole_270 had them pretty well patterned, and my 9 year old, Madden, laid the wood to a 9.5” bearded gobbler. We had to watch them strutting from about 300 yards across the creek for a solid hour before they came by the blind.

Single shot .410 with #9 TSS at about 7 yards.

His first bird ever was last year, this one was just a fuzz smaller.

Good deal. Kentucky's youth season is this weekend, and one of the granddaughters is going. As a matter of fact, I'm headed out in a few minutes to listen for the gobbling, and to locate where they are. It's always nice to see the kids learning how to hunt.
