I dont care for catfish 1 bit.
Caught a slew of em.
Something to do after deer season and before turkey.

My ocd on projects being done to my standard cause,s worry on my part that a person will find something and it will reflect on me doing bad work.
Which is unacceptable to me.
I have had to restart some projects for friends that I would not allow them to have until I was satisfied.
Just the way I am.

And the best entry level AK.
They run with the big dogs.

Upgradeable as hell.

Century imports em.
Puts a nice trigger in em called the RAK 1.

Alantic firearms is a good website to check out.

The Rh10 is basically a wasr 10 with integrated gas block and front sight.
Windage adjustable rpk style rear sight.
And U.S. style crush washer threaded barrel

The hooded front sight is a issue with the gun
Cut top 1/3 rd of it off
Balance and even it with some file work.
Touch up with some blueing.

Really the biggest issue is the hooded front sight.
RH10,s can be found in the 580 to 650 range.

The Oregon coast is one of my most favorite places, other than the liberals and politics I have spent so much time up and down the coast - as a child I spent my summers with my grandparents in their motor home all over the coast - Coos Bay, Astoria, "the Louis and Clark Turn-Around" in Seaside.... I have a close friend with a place up the Rogue, where I fish a few times a year. My Grandfather and Grandmother settled in Silverton after a 35 year carrier in the California Highway Patrol, built a beautiful home in the mountains, where I grew up during the summers.

I love the PNW. Except for the people and politics.

The other rifle is a DSM34 in .22LR. Man it is a shooter!! Grew up shooting one of these (no not with the Hitler Jungend) that belonged to my childhood chum. His was a Walther and SA stamped on the stock.

So all I got out of this thread is that a dude from Oregon with a nice Winchester Model 70 Supergrade was calling people out probably because he was drunk. Things got weird for a while, then it straightened up. Then it went south, probably due to drinking in quarantine. Slumlord has many different projects going, and he finds very nice arrowheads including a Paleoindian Clovis point. Then 79S gets drunk and calls out everybody and Elkhunternm and Kaywoodie show their guns. I guess it is a typical thread. I am working either as a teacher or at SW most of the time so I never post that much so I guess I never actually follow a trainwreck thread from front to its eventual conclusion. Unlike what I thought, most of the characters, even the OP probably would do well at the same Oregon or Idaho bar shooting the chit. There was not a single paddler or goosey type person involved. I think that the only thing that upsets me with these threads is that the posters don't show the scotch or nattie light that they drink as they descend to being legends in their own mind.

Drunk chit I was sober the whole the time.. now the others probably drunk, crying, grieving.. you know going through all the emotions old guys experience going through menopause..

Another time they laid a 2 foot stick of summer sausage in the Ronald McDonald statue who was setting on the bench with his legs crossed, in front of the Inside McDonalds at our Wally World. I didn’t see em do it, but I knew exactly who the guilty party was!!!

Ah Harbor Freight press, can't believe I didn't by one 30 years ago. I up graded mine using a 20 ton pnumatic jack and it's like having 3 hands. Really nice arrowhead collection, my wife and I look after rains and have never found any around here.

Man I'd like to squirrel hunt with you, Rene. But, I prefer to back up against an oak, look for a moccasin curled up between the roots in early season and have a 12-15 min sit.

Early in the season before some leaves fall and if I hunt in the river bottoms with cat squirrels I go with a Benelli 20 with cheap low brass dove load 6s with the IM choke, as they rarely slow down in an open spot not covered by leaves to give a shot.

Do you have mostly greys of Fox squirrels? Man, I love young squirrels fried or older in rice, like rice and chicken, or pressure cooked a bit and the meat put in cornbread dressing.

Do you ever hunt them early in the season while they are still feeding on pine cone seeds. You sneak along watching for pine cone petals floating down and reflecting a bit of yellow from the morning sun.

You sneak in under it because there's too much veggies between you and it to get a shot. You get straight under the falling cone petals and looking up can only see a bit of fur each side of the branch above it is sitting on. A fine and pleasant misery.

Long bearing surface area and consistent weight rules.
Reason why you get nice 10 shot groups at 50 yds with flyers that blow your group out of the 6 7 or 8 that go into 1 ragged hole.

That will give you 30 35 of em all exactly the same.

Take a magic marker put a dot in middle of plate.
Weigh each round exactly their each
Dont jar your plate dropping a round that last little tiny distance
Weights go up from low side to 51.8
Weights go down from high side to 51.8
Let em settle at 51.8 for 2 to 3 seconds
Make a quick cat like snatch and grab up with the round
Anything not in your majority weight group

Plinking ammo
Not zeroing ammo
Recal your scale every 15 to 20 rds.

If ya dont wanna do all this schitt
Go buy 15 to 20 + bucks a box high end .22 ammo.
And then pissed off about flyers still.

Man I'd like to squirrel hunt with you, Rene. But, I prefer to back up against an oak, look for a moccasin curled up between the roots in early season and have a 12-15 min sit.

If I see something swinging the leaves a hundred yards way through the canopy I still sit and give any nearby a chance to die.

If nothing shows I try to neak toward it and neak up to a vertical trunk to take a rest for my Win 63 or Browning auto 22.

Just about everything you mention is what I do also to kill tree rats

Little fugg,s eat 15 20 acorns a day
Bury twice as many
Less on the ground for the deer when ya think about x how many tree rats in an area.

Rail road track hunting
Large open areas they cant cross or jump
Sit around places where trees make a bridge across the tracks

That squirrel tail has shrunk alot in width and i cut off about 1.5" to tack it on the frame.

I doubt I’ll get anyone to run a low bed out anytime soon.

I’m here for a few more weeks anyway. It’s just that Mother Nature is turning things on and it’s gonna be time to start growing stuff. I’m goIng to put in a big garden and have to get all of last years bean fields seeded in hay. I need to do a bunch of drainage and tile and sort out some combine ruts before they turn into ditches.

Sounds like fun when you can get to it.

Beans last year should grow some good hay this year.
