All:

My Aunt (My Dad’s younger sister) broke her foot from a fall. She went in a rehab center to get healed quicker. A decent place too. Well, she got CV-19 while there, went to the regular hospital for the disease, and died today. Otherwise healthy 74 year old.

Word to the wise. If you break your a$$ somehow, heal your happy a$$ at home. I don’t care if you have to do it on your own. Teach your dog to cook breakfast.

Funny thing. She was well on her way to beating it, and it came back fast and got her.

Stay safe.

Damn.
Many stories of it coming on with a vengeance after a week or so of seeming recovery. Sad.

Condolences.

Sorry man.

Told my coworkers to not do silly stuff while laid off, avoid risks that could send em to hospitals/rehab places.

Prayers for your fam.

She was almost out of the woods, and it hit her again like a freight train.

This bug is wicked on some people. You aren’t out of the woods until you are. Damn.

Sorry to hear of your aunt's death. That is tragic when some minor injury leads to contracting the Chinese virus. My condolences to you and her family.

Sorry for your loss. Definitely a scary virus for older and compromised people.

Sorry for your loss. Did they offer her Hydroxychloroquine and zmax? Just curious. Seems like they should have. From what I've read the sooner the better.

Wow! That's the pattern that critical care staff have been describing. Those who die look like they're finally getting better, then they develop untreatable pneumonia. RIP.

Sorry for your loss. May she RIP

Sorry to hear, that's very sad. I used to think 74 was ripe old age but my dads about that old now so it still seems too young to go. i keep telling my kids to be careful so they don't have to go to the Dr and bring the bug back home.

I've been watching the neighbor kids rip up and down the street on motorbikes without helmets the last few days and thinking nows not the best time to take unnecessary risks. Unfortunately accidents still happen even when people are being careful.

Sorry for your loss and thanks for some good advice. I think John Prine was reported to be out of the woods but it came back. There is some talk about this thing rebounding in the medical community. There is still too much we don't know about this disease and it's progression and how it mutates.

Sorry to hear. The very reason why I’d have to be on death’s doorstep before going to any medical facility right now.

Sorry to hear of this, RAS.

May I ask if she went in early after getting sick, and if she was treated with Hydroxychloroquine and a Z pack?
Very sorry for your loss.

Condolences to you and yours; cry sorry to hear of your loss.
Very sorry for your loss RAS.

There was a story on the news where the hospital staff gave a rousing send-off to 79 year old lady going home after like 9 days in the hospital and beating COVID. She died at home a few days later. This thing is evil that way. Sad.

Due to visitation limitations ect, I don’t have that information right now.

This is what I do know. She got it, was fairly sick, improved a lot, got almost ready to go home, then went south real fast.

It was a shock to us. Apparently, this has happened with some other patients too. To go from almost out of the woods to down the tubes is a big kick in the balls.

RAS, condolences to you and the rest of your family on your loss...

its hard to say much more.. this shouldn't have had to of happened...

our nation has let emergency preparedness slide in the last 30 years or so...
and our system of allowing the FDA to test solutions for 18 months before releasing them
is ridiculous in situations like this...

I pray your Aunt is with the Lord, our God in heaven....

Peace be with you and your family during this difficult time.

well, thank you for sharing a very sad, unfortunate situation. I am copying it, to share with my wife.
i was suppose to go in to have some epidermal shots on my back, to help get rid of the pain.
i canciled both of them for fear of being around any medical facility at this point in time.
My back still hurts, so i wondered if i made the right decision.
i think what you are relaying says i did.
thank you.
