I built this one a couple weeks ago. I got it painted this morning. It doesn’t look too bad. I need to find some shiny heat proof paint. The only thing they had was bbq black. It cooks well, used it a couple times.

Looks good but I'd put that temp gauge where the meats going to be cooking.

It’s pretty close. I keep meat by smoke stack

Very nice hanco. Can I send Grub Hub to your place for some brisket?

Nice work

Looks nice.

Question - you’ve got the firebox directly underneath the stack. Do you have baffles in there to redirect smoke into the meat box and then out?

Good looking smoker. Nice work.

Don't they have Grub Hub in Texas? That is an awesome piece of work, congrats on your skills.

8-900 lbs? It needs a trailer hitch.

Now I understand why Texans have BBQ guns. If someone wants to move the BBQ, they shoot themgrin

For us ignorants, tell us the details of draft, smoke, cookbox, etc.

Looks nice. What kind of wood or charcoal do you use. Probably a dumb question but I dont know of anyone who has one.

I'd like to have a large outfit like that, I doubt if I'd ever need one that large.

The bottom 1/4 of 22” pipe above firebox is cut out. A piece of 1/2 plate is welded in a third of the way from bottom of pipe. The 1/2 plate goes to 6” from the end. The heat and smoke hits the 1/2 plate, goes to end of pipe, up around over meat to smoke stack and out.

I use mesquite mostly, but hickory and red oak sometimes. I can get pecan too. It’s good also.

I’ve built quite a few like this. Some like the one I built my son in law.

We use a fork lift to move it.
