and it reminded me that Mike Bloomberg is a idiot.

"You know, farming looks mighty easy when your plow is a pencil, and you're a thousand miles from the corn field."
-Dwight D. Eisenhower

No real point, other than Bloomberg is a idiot.
Bloomberg is a smart little bitch.

Speaking of farming.

The guys that aren't busy calving have started drilling wheat around here.

We have some ruts that need to be cleaned up first.
Ever read "IKE"

It's worthwhile.
Your thread + WWII thread = my memory spitting that out....

Jesus, I have a rye/ryegrass field this year and the cereal has headed out in front of my rotation already. Your winter really makes me appreciate mine.

Side note, i've grazed that field more this year than it produced all last year and I'll get 1 more round on the rye... Then June 1st its going to millet/Sorghum Sudan/ Cowpeas... Starting to feels like next year I might be able to put it back to perennial pasture and it actually make something respectable.
I worked for 34 years with USDA. I had that quote framed in my office. Loved it.

Wheat aught to bring a premium price this year shouldn’t it? Unless of course if the .gov doesn’t try and confiscate it in the name of the covid...
The production side of the “Farm Program” oughta be under DOD.

School lunches, SNAP, etc should be municipal, county, or state programs.

Anyone who needs that explained to them in further detail needs to be removed from any committee that votes in DOD and Farm issues.
I’m guessing all farm products will go up in the stores but stay low for the farmers until all the production plants get rolling at full speed again. Farmers are the only people who have something to sell and the buyer sets the price. Ed k
