I know that this is a futile plea, but the idea here is for humorous things, not political statements nor rants about distancing/masks, so if we could avoid those it would be nice.

I have learned that Bigfoot's name is Darryl.

You can actually walk into a liquor store wearing a mask without being shot on sight.
Light traffic is a magnificent thing if one is attempting to refurbish a bridge with traffic still using it.
Working from home sucks!
Your chances of not being caught increase 500%
That it doesn't cost $100.00 to fill my gas tank.
I learned I’m still alive. I was working 60 plus hours a week for years. I felt dead all the time. Amazing what a little rest will do for you.
Trucking companies can haul a load from Idaho to Maryland for less than $4000.00.
I've learned a heck of a lot about black powder shooting and black powder guns, how to load, shoot, clean, maintain, and tear down cap and ball revolvers to their last component part and put them back together again.
That Amazon must have a sh-tload of cardboard boxes. Cookie is getting a couple deliveries per day. Wish I had invested in the box companies about 4 years back.
I learned that I really like shooting a .22 rifle.

Not much, farming, planting the row crows, and caving time is normal here on the old farm.
Not really anything I learned, but I have been heartened by some of the generosity, kindness and patience I have seen. I am also encouraged to see so many more people enjoying exercise and the outdoors.
Spanish (Duolingo).
Hoping to go to Mexico or Argentina hunting in the near future....

I have learned that Bigfoot's name is Darryl. Same as 5sdad

That's the only thing that stayed the same day to day!
The state governors love to abuse their power if given the chance - not unexpected but given the context of a national emergency, it was eye opening.
Attractive women are still good looking even with a mask on. laugh
I learned that aside from extended road trips and frequent dining out my life changed very little.

Wife struggles with home schooling. Road construction is essential. Some people look better wearing masks.
With reopening I’ve learned it’s not the old folks who are afraid of the Chinese virus. They’re the ones I see out dining in the restaurants with me. At 52 I’m often the youngest person dining in the restaurants ! The younger generations are a bunch of pussies !
This sums it up pretty well...

This....
That I've been practicing social distancing way before all of this.
I learned that Bloomberg is full of [bleep] and I'm a lousy gardener.
The Democrats never pass on a chance to bash Trump, nor do the MSM.
That I can't cut my own hair.

Not to pay attention to Politicians........
Learned that my wife NEEDS to go to work. And not this work from home thing.
She really needs that hour drive to decompress.
She went back in today.
Thank you Jesus.
I learned how to sew some face masks.
I learned that I'm not ready to retire. I had two weeks off and work wanted to know if I wanted to come back in the first wave. Hell yes!
I learned how much I miss my Saturday omelette at the restaurant on the hill.

Uhhh, maybe give us a Bromance Alert???
I learned how much money I save when I don't go anywhere. I learned that I definitely DO like to go out..

I reaffirmed that I'm the worst typist in the history of the English language, and that the person who first let me near a typewriter (yep, I'm that old) musta been been drinking heavily.
I learned that public school teachers are underpaid and underappreciated.

Making the best pizza I've ever made, as well as enchiladas.

A 2 or 4 week supply of beer is a freakin joke, you will need more before you know it.

Never had pecan pie vagina but made me think of the bread & butter pickles tasting young redhead I once knew.

Proving to friends & family, including wife that a bit of stocking up rather that going to town every other day for provisions separates the prepared from the spoiled.

I could go on.
Bigfoot's name is Darryl.

The forgot disarmament.

They shouldn't have forgotten that.

The responses have been interesting. Thanks for playing. As I said originally, I knew that my plea was futile, but the vast majority of the responses have gone along with it.

You are right there with him Toots.
I learned my old Marlin bolt action .22 loves the CCI quiet .22 LR's. Five shot groups at 25 yards are one ragged hole over and over again.
That Walmart is safe and a paved bike path is dangerous.

200 people in a big store is more dangerous than 2 people in a small store.

Carryout at home beats the hell out of restaurant seating.

Working at home is great. Then it sucks. Then it’s great.

Democrats should spend more time in China licking doorknobs.

No doubt. The Commie Socialist DemoRat’s will stop at NOTHING to Destroy America.

Yep
I have learned that the vast majority of people are far less intelligent that I had previously thought.

I have also learned that the Constitutional Impeachment experts on Facebook and MSM are also medical virus experts... and will soon be hurricane geniuses.
I have learned that this So Called Pandemic has been GREAT for my Pocket Book.
I have worked every day since it started.
I threatened a lab that I am working for. That if they did not get me work I was going to Arizona for a month to work on my property.
They have kept me very busy.
Some of my old Clients have started calling me to Inspect their work.
Work all day 10 miles from home. (that is unheard of in Communist Mexifornia for Construction workers)
and then go take care of my own Clients after working for the Lab at almost twice the pay.
Gas Prices are down.
Not very many People on the roads.
Got my Stimulus Check this week

This Pandemic created by the Dumbocrats has been very very good to me so far
No Complaints from me yet.

Thank you. I've really learned to enjoy them.
I learned I don’t want to be home all day, everyday with Wifey.

Well, I always wondered where we spent my paycheck. (Wife pays utilities)
Still don't really know. But, I have had to take cash out of my wallet
several times in the last 2 months because I has more than I like to carry!

It has been interesting watching people at work.
The obsessed with not catching the Kungflu.
The ones that deny it.
The few obsessed with the gov money that the company got to pay
our wages (while we are running normally). And feel entitled to
some obscure "bonus".

All F'n idiots.

My kids have learned they like school
The 13 year old begged us for all of last year to cyber school.
She HATES cyber school now.
Unbelievably, I only know one kid who is happy school closed.
They all seem to miss it. I don't understand that. At all!

Will never forget the pecan/hair pie!

And they are hell on cat prowling in the night! Used to use CB's but these shoot closer to my regular ammo so I can reach out a little farther.
I learned Moscow mules are good
I can get ten weeks to one gallon of diesel.
I learned that an AR15 platform pistol in 300 AAC Blackout is a fun little gun and very easy to carry in the woods without getting in the way. I am learning the intricacies of handloading for it.

I can see that in your post.
I learned that the people who think the govt can tell them how fast to drive are the same people who think the govt can tell them when they can leave their houses.

And, of course, I spoke too soon.
That my wife is a straight up psycho bitch, and lawyers are expensive
.gov gives out money and creditors take it.
I enjoy time off!!
I’ve learned that Suavecito Tequila is the best sippin whiskey for a faux pandemic.
I learned that I don't have to pay last year's taxes, first quarter estimated, and second quarter estimated until July 15th.
I've learned that many who call themselves conservatives turn over like a dog getting his belly rubbed.

This! They're a lot more people ready to get "free" money from the government than you ever thought they'd be. There's also a lot more people ready to sit at home a draw a check than to work. I am talking about people that vote Republican. There's also a lot more people that's willing to be controlled by the government than I thought they'd be.

FU-K! hate to hear that shlt!
Learned that given our current employee count, it would take 7 million dollars and 1.5 years to reconfigure our office to allow 6ft social distancing.
I have learned, that evidently...I'm essential.
As a local truck driver, I've learned during this shutdown, that with reduced traffic: the cops aren't pulling people over (with very rare exception), the traffic is averaging about 20-30 mph over the speed limit, and there just aren't any accidents. I mean, I'm sure there are, but in two months with thousands of miles, I haven't seen any.

And when I say 20-30 mph over, I've been passed on I-271 in Cleveland by numerous cars going well over 100 mph! I was doing 66 and they were a blur going by me.

It has utterly unmasked — again — the left and their spite and hunger for power and control from governors to mayors, to the speaker of the house, to a Tx and DC judge as examples of their kind.

It has again underlined the fact they will not stop at anything in winning both houses, the presidency, or seating their judges.

And, the complete bankruptcy of the MSM.
What have I learned from all this? That people will believe literally anything the media tells them...
I’ve learned that I don’t need to allow extra time for traffic in my daily travels.
Neck sizing and fine tuning bullet jump.

It really is terrifying when you see it come to fruition.
Women do most of the shopping and TP is what they worry about running out of.
Its legal to walk into a bank while open carrying and wearing a mask and not get a second look.
I learned that Batschit crazy is not a temporary condition. And, if not in full bloom, is simply laying dormant.
That our goverment is even dumber than I thought
I like my own company, and I don't like being around others.

Most people aren't worth the risk of defending.
Being home all day with Ms. Okie is a freaking blast. So is working from home.
Haircuts are more important than I thought.
Wearing socks is less important than I thought.
TP is in short supply. Adult diapers are not.
Tipping restaurant workers well is very important.
I can make really good pizza on a grill.
If you have a Remington 1100, you should have a 21" smoothbore barrel with rifle sights for it.
Federal low-recoil buck patterns well in a Remington 1100 with a 21" smoothbore barrel and rifle sights but won't cycle it. S&B buckshot cycles well but patterns are huge.
COVID-19 doesn’t just kill old people. It also kills stupid people. And way more people are stupid than you'd think.

I love pecan pie. Always have, always will.

Okie John
Learned just being in the vicinity of Covid 19 apparently gives whole communities diarrhea.
The restaurant business isn't as great as I once thought and renters will take advantage of you whenever possible. Get all you can get while the getting is good.
after seeing how people panic over TP, I never want to see what happens if the water gets turned off for a week.
