Various loadings under AA shells.
Super sporting clays is a good dove load also.

We don't have enough doves to hunt them.

I have a electric clay thrower that needs tried out.

Getting sick of hand throwing 3 clays.
Posted By: Jim_Conrad Re: Winchester AA Rebate. - 05/13/20
Would love to have a 28 guage Mossberg to run AA shells through.

SA 28 I think.

Used to be sold as a Weatherby.

I just looked up the Fiocchi load I use.

1170 or 1180.

Never fails in my M2.

Posted By: renegade50 Re: Winchester AA Rebate. - 05/13/20
Also seen steel shot duck loads heavily discounted at ftcky blvd/41A wally world yesterday.
Might show up on brickseek for some of you all in your areas.
Dunno...

Winchester loads and winchester dry lock loads.
Federal loads.
3" and 3.5"
$3.00 and $4.50 a box.
Yellow discount tagged.

I use the AA 2-1/2" .410 1/2oz 7-1/2 load for squirrels inside of 20-25 yards or so. They do the trick. Patterns are nice, and at 1300 fps, they penetrate well.

Every wally world around here carries the 100 rd bulk boxes of AA 28 gauge.

I have never seen anyone use one.
Think Academy carries a Yildez model 28 gauge shotgun IIRC.

Was that today you seen those sale prices? (Yellow tags)
Posted By: IndyCA35 Re: Winchester AA Rebate. - 05/13/20
Winchester has this rebate every year, for at least the last five years.

I think it's dumb. Why don't they just lower the price. also, you have to send them the top from every box (bummer).

AAs used to be the best shells for reloading but Winchester changed the design. Now Remingtons are better, including the budget priced Gun Clubs.

Not sure if it makes you the good guy, but thanks for the heads up. Took advantage of this a few years ago for my 20 ga.& after the rebate I enjoyed shooting the best there is for the same money as the cheap stuff.

I prefer the Remington STS loads over the AAs now too. When I was younger I shot a lot of AA and the hills reloaded great. Then Win changed the hull so it has an extra piece inside down by the base and I didn't think they loaded as well. I love the rem premier STS gold cases. They reload great with 29g longshot, 1.5 ounces of magnum 5s and an AA red was.

Ren,

I wish I could catch the steel at our walmart marked down like that. I always miss the steel markdown anymore. I was there about 10 years ago when the manager was first bringing out the mark down steel.

I asked what kind of deal he'd do if I took it all. He said half price but you have to buy all I have. I said ok then he started laughing and showed me the two pallets in the back of black cloud. I called my brother that lives about a mile from there and we bought it all. I spent about $7000 and my brother spent about the same. I still have some cases of black cloud left.

I'd love to get some at $3-$4 a box.

The store I work got 3 flats of 28 ga AA Sporting Loads in the day the rebates started. The store does not have the UPC on file which makes check out a hassle at best. I was offered them at the going AA sale price for 12 ga, which coupled with my employee discount, a $10 off a $75 purchase, and the rebate had me a little over $4/box after breaking up the purchase to use multiple coupons. I later picked up 2 flats of 12 ga Sporting loads as the price wasn't bad.

I shoot whatever is cheapest, cause when birds fly over we do mag dumps. Haha

Crossing fans of fire

Keeps mfers from stacking up on your land grab at the dove field. 😱🔥😃😃

Mag dumps on dragon flies too, always.

Shooting dragon flies with .22 shotshells is a hoot too. Especially out of a revolver.
Posted By: Blacktail308 Re: Winchester AA Rebate. - 05/16/20
The old compression formed AA hull was the best in the old days, they seemed to last forever (except in .410). I still have a bunch of 20 and 28 gauge old style AA’s. I’m metering them out because I have some recipes that load so well in those hulls.

Aint never heard people on a feild get rounds downrange as fast as either of us can yet when needed.

How you hit that bird at 50+ yards????
Mag dump/ concentration of fire in shortest time possible.

Aint rocket science to reach out and touch something.

I don't believe you can reload that cheaply? Would be close.
Posted By: TimberRunner Re: Winchester AA Rebate. - 05/17/20
Renegade, where you finding Supersports for $7.70/box?

Seems like $85/case is the going price now. Still a decent deal for a great shell with that rebate.
