Fred was a good man, a family friend from back. Fred had a heart of gold, and a gruff demeaner.

A bachelor, Fred died too young in a snowblower accident, in February, 73. Fred still had a lovely garden of peonies, he gave to me for my mother. "Smell them while they are still alive"

No family, we put a peonie on his grave today.[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]

Sorry you lost your friend!

Can we get details on the "snowblower accident?"

Thanks in advance.

Travis, very sad, he was alone, it looked like he slipped on wet snow, and fell into the running snow blower head first. A good friend lost indeed. But that was back in 73, life goes on.

I never want forget the members of a good fiend.

Hmmm....

Why did the fat one, with arms spread, leave first?

Wabi a fellow I knew suffered the exact accident. No one saw it happen, it was in an isolated area but he obviously exited the machine and walked in front of the spiraling blade set and somehow slipped in or got something caught up in there.

Yeah life does go on

Friends are here today gone tomorrow, my list of friends departed reads like a Butthole Surfers song

Donnie drown while shîtfaced drunk

Gary had a grand mal seizure after two 8 balls back to back

JoJo got an extra-hot load of fentanyl

Timmy got shîtfaced at a biker campout and let the generator pump carbon monoxide into the camper, got 3 other dumphoucks in the same sardine can with him

Mike facedown at his computer, prob hero-win; no final on it

Travis J, never woke up,

Haven’t visited any of their graves, just ain’t my thing.

So far, no one has sucked a 12gauge or fell into a vat of chili at Vietti in Nashville

Another question, if I may.

Why is this titled "Fred Hudson" and the gravestone reads "John Frederick?"

Am I missing part of this story?

My guess is that it’s a family plot with the family name on a big stone in the middle and all the individual graves marked with small stones ((as shown) with just the first and middle names of the individual. I’m further guessing that, like my wife’s uncles, John Frederick Hudson went by his middle name.

His letters were addressed, "J. Fred Hudson. "

I use my first initial D, when I sign papers.

My good friend caught some mystery virus and died.

Back in 09. Took him half a year to die from it though.

Thought about him yesterday.

Young Daniel is named for him.

I think maybe John Frederick Fred Hudson may have owed some bad people, good money.

Because I never seen a guy fall head first into a snowblower before.

A snow blower.

And Wabi says; want forget "members" of good friend.

I bet that was a hell of a sight.

Then Slummy comes all cold hearted & chit & says the word Departed. I saw what you did.
Posted By: deflave Re: Fred Hudson - 05/26/20
At least tell us that the snowblower was self-propelled.
