Loved the show yesterday. Something we can have pride in again. God speed boys!

I've never wanted to be an astronaut until today.

The idea of asking Command and Control "Are were there yet" every half hour would make all that hard work seem worthwhile.

Thanks for the update Rocky. Nice to have a positive thing to focus on.

We need ta rule space with a Iron Fist especially earth orbit.
Fugg the Russians .
And especially fugg the Chinese!!

Both of em have stolen enough of our tech to get where they are at.
We need ta shut that schit down and rule...

Popping a cap in that fugging cosmonaut,s noggin on the ISS would be a good start later on this morning during hatch opening.
Bam....
Right between his lookers with a suppressed .22

JMO in my twisted train of thought.
LOL!!!

sigh................

Any idea as to who was first to launch a man into space?
Who ya think has been flying men back and forth to the
Space Station the last 10 years since we mothballed our Space Shuttle?

Watched the launch yesterday, nice distraction from the daily fake news

What about the stage 1 booster- - - - -did they stick the landing on that floating recovery platform? That's as amazing as anything else they're doing- - - - -being able to recycle the parts!

Yes, they stuck the landing.

Dragon just docked to the ISS, about two hours now of leak checks and such, then they can open the hatches on both vehicles.

Plus they made good time.

Every man's dream.

Our nation owes NASA the company store however the private sector will be the predominant wave of the future ...Awesome accomplishment to all !

The original plan called for them to be there for only four or five days, but the current plan is for the two of them to stay and work for a couple of months - maybe even four months. But the test mission won't be complete until they undock, de-orbit and splashdown safely.

And then, we are one step closer to going to space for the fugk of it.

Don't get more American than that.

Job well done.

I hope to live long enough to see us colonize the moon. There are a number of compelling reasons to do so. My favorite? If we don’t the raccoons will.

Helium 3
Schit loads of it
Energy.

Then we can use it for further space exploration.

They have now entered the ISS and are suffering through the VIP speeches. I bet they can't wait for the media event to end and to get to work doing real science.

Somebody needs to sneak a fart machine on one of those missions for when the VIP speeches get out of hand. Talk about viral video potential - all would be forgiven for the PR value.

Was exciting the first time they tried docking, way back when. Looked good on paper but nobody knew - easy to miss something. Paraphrasing Gus, nobody really knew for sure.

IIRC a BIG question was the effect of sun/shafe space temperatures which of course changes with ship aspect. Would metal expansion/contraction remain within design tolerance for a good capture and seal.
