Just received my new Benelli 828U 20 gu. It is extremely stiff. Any suggestions on loosening it up? Other than having coffee every morning and working the safety and breaking the barrel from now until Oct! Thanks.

get a case of target loads and burn them up shooting trap or sporting clays. I'll loosen up.

All new O/Us are stiff when new. It usually takes around 500 rounds before they become easier to operate. I'm not familiar with this model, but it's wise to apply a thin layer of grease to the sidewalls of the breech end of the barrels to ensure no galling will ensue..
