I have a Stevens Model 22-410 that was having firing issues, so I replaced both firing pins, which helped the 22 but I still can't get the 410 to fire. Now I'm thinking that I need to replace the hammer selector, as that may be wore out. Thoughts? Or am I missing something else that may be causing the 410 not to fire?

Check to see if anyone shortened the hammer spring to lighten the trigger pull.
When you replaced the pins did you scrape the inside of the action where the pin stops? Carbon and other junk build there and it is hard. Scraping it out is tough.

When I rebuilt it I saw no signs of the mainspring being shortened.

All the internal nooks and crannies were degunked during the rebuild process and I just just double checks; nothing but bare metal in the firing pin holes.
If anyone has a Stevens Model 22-410 Selector style Hammer or just the selector from the hammer, please contact me as I continue to troubleshoot this issue.
