Been eyeing one... anyone know if this could be reamed out to 327 magnum? Is the cylinder long enough?

I know this was not your question, but try the .32 H&R loads first. I have had more fun with my Single Six .32 than I could have imagined.

Any particular reason you don’t want to just buy a single seven?

Single sevens are all stainless i think. Looking at a blue one

I have to agree, I like the single six in 32H&R.

I was gifted mine from a dear friend who replaced his with a Single Seven.

The single Seven shot fine but loading was a little odd as the cylinder didn't quite line up with the loading gate.
Roll the cylinder till it clicks into place and it was too far to load or unload so it was a little different routine...

The Single Seven was developed so that the cylinder notches could be further offset between chambers due to the cartridge's high operating pressure.

Sure, rechambering the H&R cylinder has been done, but you end up with a short COAL.

I've owned a Single Six with a Bisley grip frame in .32 H&R since the early 1980s and have owned and sold several others over the years. It's one of my favorite single action revolvers. I see no reason to need more out of it for any purpose I've used it for than it provides. The .327 is a fine cartridge, but the .32 H&R is sufficient for any type of hunting for which you'd use such a cartridge and in addition is extremely accurate. I also have an SP101 in .32 H&R with a 4-inch barrel. It's a fun gun as well.

If you want the extra HP, I agree. The 327 is quite snappy, The extra weight of the steel grip frame helps attenuate recoil.
